Final Fantasy XIII -2 is a follow-up to 2010's Final Fantasy XIII . It's the second time Square Enix has followed up a main series entrance with a direct sequel, though XIII -2 is much more of a typical sequel than the fanciful Final Fantasy X-2.

Final Fantasy has been one of the most well known franchises in the entire video game industry. Square Enix used to do Final Fantasy games as one shots, and never visited that fantasy universe ever again. Thankfully years ago they decided sequels to fantasy universes would be allowed.

Ever since Final Fantasy VII was released in North America in 1997, the series has become the archetype of what every RPG should be. I rarely found myself frustrated or confused in the story, and I am confident that most fans of the series will find it far superior as well. I remember originally it was rumored to be a three part series, so I'm still anxious for more!

You'll be disappointed if you approach Final Fantasy XIII-2 expecting another hundred-hour epic like the original. The main quest should only take you about 30 hours, and the endgame, while solid in its own right, won't give you what Final Fantasy XIII did.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 isn't a full blown return to the classic Final Fantasy games many people know and love, but it is certainly a step in the right direction and offers a great deal more invention, exploration and good, old fashioned fun than its predecessor.

I already had the standard copy but I couldn't resist and got the collector's edition years later because FF XIII-2 is my favorite FF game.The main reason that makes worth buying the CE is the 75+ track 4 CD soundtrack.A must GET for XIII trilogy fans.I personally thank the seller "Crusading Angels"...
