Game is brilliant, the best dynasty warriors game by far in terms of story. Combat has changed somewhat significantly so if you are buying this game after playing an older version, it will be different for you.

If you like the DW series this is the best one by far.
This Dynasty Warriors game was a great step up form the previous ones (6 & 7). You can play as all 3 armies Wei, WU and SHU whilst also being able to play JIN. You play through the storyline and depending on decisions made you can unlock alternate endings.
A few new things in version 8 such as ambition mode and you can build your own village. Can also semi-build your own weapons and imbue them with stuff. I preferred Dynasty Warriors Empire if I wanted custom conquest. The campaign near god-awful. The cinematics are great as always. Gameplay...meh.
I'm a fan of the dynasty warriors game. I was a little hesitant when buying this one because I heard about the major lag issues on the Xbox 360 version of the game. I did some research and found out they released a patch that helps with the lag issue so I took a risk and bought the game last night.
This is another great Dynasty Warriors game, with all that entails. We are mostly playing the same battles, though a few things have been changed up...
It's Dynasty Warriors
It's Dynasty Warriors
So here I am, playing Dynasty Warriors 8 . As I round the corner of the ancient Chinese castle that is the setting for the historical battle I find myself a part of, my heart leaps out of my mouth.
: In the end, Dynasty Warriors 8 provides more than enough Warriors fun for any fan of the series. The Ambition Mode caters greatly to the "I rule everything" powertrip so many of us love the games for, and the few modest yet thoroughly welcome gameplay change ups and tweaks add just enough variety...
"If it ain't broke, don't fix it" would apply beautifully to Tecmo-Koei's Dynasty Warriors 8 , but developer Omega Force always has to improve something with each sequel. In the latest version of Tecmo-Koei's historical hack-and-slash marathon, there's a host of new features and play modes.
Combat better than ever; with more tactical depth; Ambition mode offers huge amounts of content; New Rampage special attacks are brilliantly satisfying
Lots of running around; Stage maps confusing at first; Slowdown can be particularly awful
I've served eight generations of Dynasty Warriors games. Each one has been a melodic button mashing sensation that's easy to lose the greater part of a week to. I was lucky enough to meet Akihiro Suzuki and it was an absolute pleasure.
