xbox 360 dirt showdown

My son says this is a great game for all ages. If you like to have the ability to upgrade the performance aspects of your car this games allows you to do that. It does not have any options to upgrade the cosmetics though.

Dirt Showdown

Trick-based gymkhana events and mini-games were largely a sideshow to the rally racing in last year's Dirt 3 , but that germ of an idea - to lightly pull the franchise away from its simulation roots - becomes a full-blown carnival of driving delights in Dirt Showdown .

+ Huge array of exciting race and battle types; + Challenges and online play are a total blast

Review: Dirt Showdown (Xbox 360)

This is a driving game that you will either love or hate, I am firmly in the former category and I loved it from about two minutes in and never looked back. This is an arcade driving game so is not intended to be that realistic or simulation heavy, but it's still a Rally game, so drifting and lack...

Destruction; speed; collection; varied gameplay and modes; multiplayer off and online; what's not to love here

Some things need extra explaining/instructions; music can get annoying

DiRT Showdown (Xbox 360) Review

It certainly does not feel like it has already been a year since Dirt 3 was released.  When I first heard Dirt Showdown was in the works, I really wasn't sure what to expect.  I thought Dirt 3 was an excellent game but one that tried to be too many things for too many people with its multiple...

DiRT Showdown

Since its debut five years ago, the DiRT series has become one of my favorite racing franchises on the market. Its slick menu system immediately helped it stand out, and its rock-solid rally racing carried the torch laid down to it by the defunct Rallisport Challenge series from the previous gen.

All in all, DiRT Showdown is a great playing arcade-style racing and destruction derby game that fans who enjoyed the lighter side of DiRT 2 and 3 will really enjoy. Lets make this clear - it isn't a rally game - so if you didn't like the X-Games and Gymkhana stuff in past games you won't like this.

UK REVIEW: There's a spectacle to Dirt Showdown that flies in the face of racing tradition: the jumps, the drifts, the squealing doughnuts, and the blinding flash of fireworks. With each crumpled bumper and shattered windscreen, a vast arena crowd roars, eager to be wowed not with the shaving of...

Varied deformation models make for satisfying destruction; Sharp presentation and smooth visuals; Wide range of event types; Online racing is masses of fun; Easy-to-master arcade handling

Single-player campaign lacks a proper career to nurture or narrative to follow; Cheesy commentary wears thin quickly

series took a turn

The game uses a rubber banding system, so u can never get too far ahead which is find in normal racing games but when the game involves crashing into ur opponent like this it can result in some race loses that feel "cheap" as they catch you on the last lap & spin you out.

Game Review: DiRT Showdown [Xbox 360/PS3/PC]

With the DiRT series, Codemasters took a big step in diversifying the rally genre to make it more approachable, and in turn it attracted quite a following. Coming to a head in DiRT 3 with the introduction of Gymkhana, this new gameplay style shook up the series for long-time fans, but acted in an...

New events are fully featured and add a huge amount of variety, both in Single-Player and Online; Fast, loud, action packed racing will appeal to a broad audience; Codemaster's high production values return, providing a polished racing experience.

Streamlining including lack of manual gears, customisation and cockpit view may annoy long time fans; Strange decisions such as removing Flashbacks from the racing mode may cause frustration.

Dirt: Showdown Xbox 360 Review

The Dirt series from Codemasters has had an interesting evolution since the first title arrived in 2007. Originally Colin McRae: Dirt , the game was filled with different events that featured a range of vehicles, such as rally cars, buggies and hill climbing big rigs.
