Test Dark Void

Dark Void

Not to long ago, in their march towards new and fresh game franchises, Capcom supported a promising little project called Dark Void, developed by Airtight Games. Prior release, Dark Void seemed like a good effort to revive a long-forgotten genre.

Looks okay and I guess the story is okay; even has a few cool gameplay ideas

It flops in just about every department and it tries too hard to be something it's not; completely failing to deliver the best of both old-fashioned air-based shooters and traditional 3rd person action games; weird camera issues; awkward flying mechanics

Dark Void Review

The idea of a personal, rocket-powered flight device has captured man's imagination for decades, yet the reality of such a device remains depressingly distant. This disparity between dream and reality mirrors the experience of playing Dark Void.

Jetpack is speedy and maneuverable; Great opportunities for daring stunts

Too much time spent without a jetpack; Shooting is unexciting; Enemies are repetitive

Dark Void Review

Capcom's latest action adventure-that doesn't have you slaughtering zombies-possesses a great deal of potential and appeal. As a likable right-guy-in-the-wrong-place protagonist tasked with saving Earth from a hostile alien threat, players take to the skies with only a jet pack strapped to their...

Unique sci-fi shooter with robotic enemies and some cussing.

Yes Dark Void is a good game, but it's not perfect. The on-foot third-person combat -- where you'll hide behind walls and other objects and peg off baddies with your weapons -- doesn't really add much to the genre.

Dark Void

Dark Void is a new game from developer Airtight Games, trying to bring something new to the; "take cover, shoot bad guys over chest-high walls" games that have cropped up in recent years. They do this, by adding some fun flying sections to the game, and a verticle cover system.

Dark Void

Dark Void Gets a 6/10 Game ratings: Capcom disappoints all of its fans and even worse they pushed aside lost plantet 2 and dead rising 2 for this? Now i question the other Capcom games that are coming out sadly... Comment on how i did because this is my first review and i aim to improve.

Dark Void

Dark Void suffers from poor execution that prevents its interesting blend of unique gameplay styles from ever forming anything cohesive enough to be considered an enjoyable experience. It's truly the first big flop of 2010.

Dark Void

Operating on the premise that all other action-shooters have been cheating you with only one plane of action, the utterly generic Dark Void has heavily hyped its sole dab of originality: a vertical-cover system that has you rocketing from the underside of one platform to another above it, while...

Dark Void

In the end, Dark Void's final product didn't live up to the potential that it had going for it. It was a great concept with some cool moments, but those moments were far and few between the unfinished control scheme and other flaws that plagued the title.
