It is not a parental control router
I bought it for its parental control feature, but it is just not a good one for the purpose. You can only specify up to 8 domain names to be blocked per computer. And those domain names can't be a partial string match. What good is it to limit to up to 8 domains

Easy setup, allows VPN passthrough
Was just looking for a router that allowed vpn passthrough, was basically just plug and play. easy

Good: Great price Linksys firmware has always been solid Wireless range is decent Sensible appearance, no garish lights or unsightly antenna Bad: Had to install proprietary software to set it up and manage.
