Small Ink Cartridges- very reduced printing capacity compared with older Canon printers

I have just bought a CanonMG5350 and I can't tell you just how disgusted I am in the cartridge size. I have replaced an IP4500 which has served me so well over the last 3 or so years. The cartridges for the MG5350 are over a third less in capacity to those in the IP4500. I am starting to run out of Cyan ink after printing about a quarter what I could print on the IP4500. The price and size of cartridges has got way out of hand.

Canon Pixma MG5350

The MG5350 is the mid-range, 3-in-1, wi-fi model from Canon's range of five new multifunction inkjets. It's an all-rounder and will suit those looking for a machine for the home which can print both office documents and...

Good cost per page for office documents; Good print quality for office docs and photos; Fast and responsive / Can print to CD; Wi-fi / Double-sided on all functions; Good scanner

Still no touchscreen; Tends towards red on photos

Canon Pixma MG5350 review Review

The Pixma MG5350 is an easy model to like. It offers most of the features that the average person is going to need from a printer, but at the same time it delivers documents with crisp text and brilliant colours.

Excellent black text quality; Superb photo prints; Great graphics performance; Fast print speeds

Not the cheapest model to run; Lacks a touchscreen

Canon Pixma MG5350

Canon's 2011 Pixma all-in-one refresh sees five new models arrive, but it's the one in the middle that caught our eye. The MG5350 lacks the six-ink print engine of the dearer MG6250, and the film scanner of the tank-like top-end MG8250, but for most home users it strikes the perfect balance between...

Another good printer from Canon

This is a great All in 1 printer that does everything I need, including printing CD/DVD's. The Quality of Photo prints are outstanding. Can print photos straight from my mobile phone.

Inexpensive; quality of photo prints; quiet

slow to start printing; purges each time you print

A great printer for the price,

The first point i will make about this printer is the only real negative point i can find, it is very greedy with its ink consumption however having tested all of the other features of this printer i can say that everything else works great.

Troublesome WiFi connection, failed after 3 years.

Had my printer for 3 years and then it died. Probably the power supply board failed as another user wrote here. Furthermore it's more or less impossible to have it connected over WiFi, especially the scan function which worked maybe one time for me over the course of 3 years.

The Pixma MG5350 is a clone of the MG6150 but slower and without the grey cartridge. This model is nevertheless fast enough and gives good quality.

Good cost per page for office documents; Good print quality for office docs and photos; Fast and responsive; Can print to CD; Wi-fi; Double-sided on all functions; Good scanner

Still no touchscreen; Tends towards red on photos
