Canon Pixma iP100 Photo Printer

Mobile printers are a bit like ultraportable laptops. They're noticeably smaller and easier to carry around than their standard-size cousins, and you're charged a premium price for the small size.

Portable; Fast; Prints directly from PictBridge Cameras; Bluetooth, rechargeable battery, and car adapter options

Heavier than some laptops, at 4.4 pounds; Prints fewer pages per cartridge than its closest competitor; Watch the Canon Pixma iP100 Video Review

Canon Pixma iP100

Although mobile printers often sacrifice quality for convenience, Canon's iP line of photo inkjet printers has always delivered impressive photos. Now, the Canon Pixma iP100 is the first mobile photo printer with 9,600-dpi resolution.

Beautiful photo quality; Fast performance; Compact design

Noisy; No memory card support; Heavier than its predecessor

Canon PIXMA iP100 Portable Printer

Most of Canon's PIXMA inkjet printers are desktop machines where, within reason, size and weight aren't problems. There's one area of the market, though, where both these considerations are important and that's portable print.

Canon Pixma iP100 Inkjet Printer

It isn't cheap compared to standard printers, but the Canon Pixma iP100 has the highest resolution available in the mobile printer market and prints at an impressive speed to boot. If you simply must have a printer with you at all times, the iP100 should be the do-it-all at your side.

High-resolution ink nozzles produce excellent prints; Significant speed improvements over previous model; Retains familiar design

No Wi-Fi or carrying case options; Lacks integrated media card reader; High price tag relative to those of desktop printers

Canon PIXMA iP100

For those in need of a quality portable printer, the PIXMA iP100 is an excellent solution. Replacing the Pixma iP90 , the iP100 provides a significant improvement on its predecessor's speed and quality. The initial outlay for the iP100 is less than for the HP Officejet H470b .

Good print quality; fast speeds; decent consumable costs

No media card slot; awkward battery pack; a little pricey

Canon PIXMA iP100

Designed for portability, Canon's PIXMA iP100 printer promises to produce 'photo lab quality prints', although its specifications are more attuned to office printing. It's a four-colour printer with separate cartridges for black pigment ink and dye-based colour inks (cyan, magenta and yellow plus a...
