The 60D fits well in the gap between the Rebel series and the 7D. It offers enough features to entice anyone looking at buying a Rebel T3i or 7D to step up or down, respectively. I highly recommend the Canon 60D as a prosumer/enthusiast camera – even more so if you plan on shooting a lot of video...

The EOS 60D sits between the EOS 50D and the EOS 7D in Canon's mid-range digital SLR offerings. It's fast, has a vari-angle LCD screen, shoots high-definition video, and has useful built-in image processing. So far, so good.

The Canon EOS 60D is an excellent enthusiast-level camera that offers a variety of new features over its predecessor and excellent image and video quality.

The image quality of the EOS 60D is excellent and on par with the 7D for shooting the typical family or kids events. As an owner of the 30D, 40D and 7D - I find the 60D IQ, handling and overall performance makes it worthy of the xxD designation.

We've come to expect follow-on cameras to generally out-do the camera they're replacing features-wise, and the 60D follows suit in most cases compared to the 50D. Sensor resolution is up and an HD video capability exists where none did before.
