Definitely worth the upgrade from 30D

So far so good! This was a recent upgrade from the 30D I have used for almost 5 years. The most practical feature I have enjoyed on this model over the 30D is the AUTO ISO feature when using AV/TV modes. The build construction and feel in my hand is not as good as my old 30D.

Easy To Use; Good Image Quality; High ISO Performance

Crop Sensor; Plastic body; Shutter sound

Alot of camera for the bucks.

I will use the camera mostly for stills of people, family, nature and landscapess. I like the 18mp so I can print large photos for displatand exibits. Don't kniow any thing that would be a negative about the camera.

Easy To Use; Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus; Fast Shutter Speed; Good Image Quality; Good Image Stabilization; High ISO Performance; Large Clear LCD; Quiet; Tilt /Swivel LCD

Canon EOS 60D

Both cameras include a few preset Scene modes, although not as many as the Nikon, to help you quickly get shots like Landscape and Portrait. Both also allow you to save your own favorite settings under three user modes; the Nikon allows two.

Great image quality; Swiveling LCD screen; Long battery life

Slow autofocus on LCD screen; none in movie mode; Plastic body; Lacks features found on Nikon D7000

Canon EOS 60D: The Next Generation Takes A Turn In The Road

The generation of Canon EOS digital SLRs beginning with the 10D have been evolutionary, with each camera adding resolution and new features. The 60D continues in that vein but also takes a slightly different tack, adding some features from Canon's own PowerShot series, bringing in functionality like...

Great for semi-pros Nice feel Easy to use Great Images (even better with lots of practise) Great choice of lens Bad Points: Dial and D pad are too close

Wonderful first camera for those with greater needs than the 500/550/600Ds or the 1000D

Canon EOS 60D Review

At first blush, you'd think the EOS 60D would be more capable than the older EOS 50D. That's only partially true. It's got more pixels and a more sophisticated metering engine, but it lacks the metal body and has a lower maximum continuous shooting speed.

Excellent balance; great choice of lenses; superb video capabilities

Only nine focus points; obtuse UI

Coming from the film era, still good memories of the EOS 1n, etc., I'm very pleased with digital, but the dslrs I've used up till now had always a plastic kind of fragile feeling, or they were far too heavy, being Nikon or Canon the feeling was more or less the same, in this respect.

Not cheap but it's excellent

Had one of these for the last 2 months and I have been impressed by just how good this Digital SLR really is. What makes it though is that swivel screen which really comes into it's own when shooting from a low or high angle or just for composing the scene.

Canon EOS 60D review

The Canon EOS 60D digital SLR camera is fast, performs well in the dark, takes crisp and vibrant pictures, and it offers plenty of physical improvements over the 50D.

Canon EOS 60D: Review

Now is the time to see the Canon EOS 60D in action and assess its strengths and weaknesses. Let's start from what, in our view, is the main shortcoming in this model. We are talking about the Auto focus Live View is used when you cannot reach the freezing point in a short time, and this could lose...

Image quality; Handling; definition of the display

Slow AF Live View mode; Post-production impractical
