When I got it, Auto focus did not work so I was stuck using Manual focus for everything. Now after 2 years my camera says "Err 01 Communications between the camera and lens is faulty. Clean the lens contacts" This lens has and always will be TRASH.

Many users will probably think that OpticalLimits went gaga considering the resolution results of the Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 STM IS. Honestly, we'd prefer it to be worse so we wouldn't need to argue.

Bought this to replace non Image Stabiliser and fantastic all rounder with crisp, vibrant clear shots with all cameras

on paper (and in the internet) it's a mechanically sub-par standard zoom with suprisingly great sharpnessin my experience it is different. mechanics are very much OK, nothing to be ashamed of for an inexpensive standard zoom. level of detail on the photos also appears good.

lack of microcontrast

?Very nice all purpose lens for beginners and advanced photographers. ?The focus ring and zoom ring feel more solid and smooth than the previous version of this lens. ?Super quiet auto-focusing. ?Lightweight. ?And of course, produces great photos.

Great lens I needed a replacement and it' works great

Right now, i got this as a gift to myself for christmas and wont open it until christmas. Im a little nervous, the box was super small and didnt seem packaged too well. But i cant write a review yet as to how it works.

The product is flimsy. When trying to focus people/objects most times the right side blurs up. Always the right side

Compact

This is the standard kit lens you can get with the camera, it is plastic which makes it feel cheap, and the zoom is not great for video, tends to move in jerks, but the optics are surprisingly good quality, and have had good reviews elsewhere.
