EGL relies on every iteration of Call of Duty being exactly what fans want, more than any other game. It's what takes centre stage at every LAN event and our midweek/weekend cups always contain a huge number of teams because gamers are highly active on Activision's most prized possession.
Right then. First things first. I don't particularly like Call of Duty games. I've always found them slightly distasteful, and a touch too realistic to have any fun with. The 'Call of Duty' franchise is firmly entrenched in a rut, and attempting to find fresh aspects requires a fine-tooth comb. While it can be remarkable to find where some creativity has shown through, it's difficult to escape one conclusion.
After Treyarch knocked it out of the park with Black Ops 2, Infinity Ward had its work cut out for it... and quite simply, missed the mark. Maybe the XBox One version will be better? It will have to be because this version is awful.

Ghosts is a good game, it's not an innovator but it'll sell a ton of copies on name alone. It's a worthy entry into the franchise. A bit long in the tooth though, so it doesn't garner the whizz-bang high score from us.
