Call Of Duty: Black Ops II – Vengeance review – die hard

Not one of Call Of Duty's better map packs, but there are still some highlights and plenty to keep fans playing for just a few more months.

Detour is genuinely good, and Cove and Rush are both perfectly competent maps; Buried has some nice ideas, even if it feels a little undercooked

No real standout maps, and Uplink/Summit feels very much like scraping the barrel; Zombies mode continues to seem less interesting with every new map

Call of Duty: Black Ops Review

Like clockwork, every twelve months Activision rolls out a new title in the Call of Duty franchise and the public goes wild.  Sales go through the roof, the media falls in love with the game, and all is good.

BIG let down

What a disappointment! If your a fan of the cod/modern warfare titles chances are you will be as disappointed as I was to play this game. It fails to rival any of the other titles on so many levels.

Call of Duty: Black Ops

For anyone that's a fan of first-person-shooters or calls themselves a gamer for that matter, it wouldn't be a surprise if I told you that Call of Duty: Black Ops is one of the years biggest and best selling games on the market.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops

The campaign sees you playing as Alex Mason, a special forces operative who spends most of his time being shot at, tortured or suffering from hallucinations. The content is short yet intense, with missions connected through several different time periods and perspectives.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Review

The first new Call of Duty since the implosion of Infinity Ward and the exodus of the guys who created the franchise in the first place is going to be a critical one. Savvy gamers will know that the heart of what makes these games fun will leave the franchise and move over to whatever new project...

Call Of Duty: Black Ops

Black Ops is made up of all the yummy ingredients that one would expect a first person shooter cake to contain and so it's very appealing to those that enjoy eating them. Of course, not everyone likes first person shooter cake, and those that do will sometimes wish for a change.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Review

The weak and twitchy single-player - with many of the same old flaws - almost undermines all of the superb extra features and pretty much flawless multiplayer offering. Veterans and regular players still have the advantage over newcomers, but with Combat Training and the Zombie mode, there is plenty...
