I am very pleased with my new printer. It is my first venture into using a laser printer at home and my first experience with the Brother brand of printers.

More expensive, but better economically in the long-term; And, it's great to get away from the inkjet smear

A little big for home use...but in the end; worth it

Its colour print-outs may be a little bit dark for some tastes, but the 4150's modest running costs and fast print speed still make it a good bet for those who need to produce a lot of colour documents on a daily basis.

Bought for use in small law office. The printer requires changing the color and black toner cartridges based on pages printed. The printer will not function unless new cartridges are installed.

Some of today's printers are very much style over substance, using beautiful curves and flashy visuals to detract from the slightly ordinary performance. The Brother HL-4150CDN colour laser printer, however, is definitely not in this category.

Purchased this unit because it seemed you would get better durability for the higher price and because aftermarket OEM cartridges are available from most suppliers. The main use is to print labels on laser compatible polyester label stock that we have used for years with a variety of other laser...

The 4150's reasonable running costs and fast print speed make it a good option for those who need to pump out a lot of colour pages on a regular basis. Its colour pages are on the dark side, though.
