I bought this switch because I needed to connect a Sky box and an Apple TV box to my Screen but had only a single HMDI input. The device was simple to set up, and works perfectly. There is provision for a third input.

Using it to connect my desktop and security recorder by HDMI to the screen. If the computer is not on or sleeping the security input goes on and off. May have to provide power to the switch to keep it working all the time regardless of active inputs.

I bought this so that I can easily switch between my home computer and work laptop when working at home. Unfortunately if only my home computer is connected it will not display anything. Works OK if the HDMI output from my work computer is also plugged in. It seems as if the unit needs the power input from both of my computers to function at all, so if I have my work laptop at work nobody can use the home computer without plugging its HDMI output directly into the monitor, which kind of defeats the purpose of the device. So I would not recommend this device unless you can try it in your setup first.

Great product. Easily does what it promises. I have my work PC and home PC now running through the same screens. Only confusing part was around power. It has a power input but it's not needed.

Makes working from home a lot easier, being able to switch between work laptop, personal laptop and desktop pc using just the one screen. Brilliant!
