Beyond my expectations !

It's been weeks that I have been researching for a curved monitor 1440p 144Hz ( OC to 165 Hz ), Nvidia G-sync technology, 27 inch and a fast response time. I decided, after a very long time reading reviews, to buy the Asus Rog Swift PG27VQ curved monitor. It did arrive today.

ASUS ROG Swift PG27VQ 27" Curved G-SYNC Gaming Monitor , 2K WQHD ( 2560X1440 ) , 165Hz , 1ms , DisplayPort+HDMI+USB3.0, Aura Sync Technology

I looked at getting this screen for a long time but got put off by the price, it ticks all my boxes (1ms, 165hz, curved screen), I took the plunge shelled out my hard earned cash and I must admit it is everything I have ever wanted in a screen.

There's no doubt, the ROG Swift PG27UQ is a very impressive piece of hardware, with excellent performance in both HDR and SDR modes. It's great to see Asus providing factory calibration for the monitor, which you'd pretty much expect at this price point, but it's the HDR support and specifically...

Outstanding performance from all angles; including excellent HDR capabilities; great factory SDR calibration; decent response times; and a high refresh rate at a very high resolution

Very expensive; Early adopter issues like active fan, chunky design, and chroma subsampling

No Support, issues out of the box.

***Update***

Looks cool; metal base stand

The one I got wouldn't go above 60hz, tried on two different systems with two different GTX1080's; If you select any other frequency like 144hz, 165hz it will switch then just blink off then on; If you set the monitor as you default and reboot it'll never turn on.

Asus PG27UQ review: A truly stunning HDR gaming monitor

For many buyers, price isn't going to be the only issue – after all, size matters. A 4K resolution simply can't make up for the drop in desktop space compared to 32-inch or 34-inch ultrawide displays that cost half as much.

Stunning image quality; Excellent gaming performance; Superb colour reproduction

Incredibly expensive; Limited connectivity; Garish lights and design

ASUS ROG SWIFT PG27UQ Monitor review

As always, we'll be the first to admit that our monitor reviews are more subjective rather than objective. I mean it's great to get all the data from the colorimeter hardware including precise brightness levels and color gamuts, in the end though, often once you've calibrated a monitor, you'll still...

Asus ROG Swift PG27UQ 27in 4K/144Hz HDR Monitor Review

The Asus PG27UQ surely has to be one of the most anticipated gaming products in recent history. First unveiled a year and a half ago, this is the first monitor to offer not just a 4K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate, but true HDR with a full array local dimming backlight as well.

Stunning image quality; Great gaming performance; 4K gaming at 144Hz is special; HDR looks fantastic; Fully adjustable stand

Very; very expensive; Windows resolution scaling can be iffy; Hugely powerful PC needed for 4K gaming; Not enough HDR content

Asus ROG Swift PG27UQ

The ROG PG27UQ is Asus' new flagship gaming monitor that boasts a mind-boggling set of features and a price to match. This 27-inch IPS LCD panel has a 4K resolution and can refresh at up to 144Hz – something no monitor has been able to do before – and it boasts true HDR capability thanks to...

Fantastic image quality; Superb gaming performance; Stunning HDR; Incredible 4K detail

Mind-bogglingly expensive; Still only a 27-inch display; 4K resolution too demanding

To the point, the Swift PG27UQ delivers everything we have been waiting for in a monitor. In doing so, it addresses the shortcomings and compromises that come with owning a 4K display, namely having to settle for a lower refresh rate.

HDR content looks fantastic; Peak brightness of 1,000 nits; Fast refresh rate (144Hz overclocked; 120Hz native; G-Sync support; Accurate color reproduction; Factory calibrated

It's expensive; You need a top-tier graphics card to power this panel fully
