Great purchase

This is a great MB, easy to setup and it rocks! Plenty of M.2 slots so no issue for storage etc. I have a 12th Gen CPU installed with Windows 11 and no issues setting this up and getting to run out of the box! Sure it's not cheap but if you want/need a MB that's more than enough for future proofing then it's worth the price.

Asus ROG Strix Z690-E Gaming WiFi Review

Republic of Gamers gaming PC components from Asus tend to be some of the fanciest, and priciest, in their respective market segments. While most mainstream motherboards try to walk the razor’s edge of high performance for a modest retail price, Asus with its $469.99 ROG Strix Z690-E Gaming WiFi motherboard took the kitchen-sink approach and added in as many features as possible on a crowded printed circuit board (PCB). The Asus ROG Strix Z690-E Gaming WiFi is in the lower half of the ROG motherboard hierarchy, but its price is hardly low-end. Massive heatsinks and a few heat pipes dominate more than half of the surface area on the front o...

The Asus Strix Z690-E Gaming WiFi is a well-done Intel LGA1700 motherboard with top-notch power delivery and copious storage support. It includes the premium features most users will want, without shooting the price into the upper atmosphere.

Extensive storage options; Large number of VRMs for CPU overclocking; Includes Hyper M.2 card for two additional PCIe storage drives; BIOS flashback function doesn’t require CPU or RAM (meaning an easier upgrade for 13th Gen Core CPUs); Lots of USB ports for peripherals

Costs more than most PC builders will want to spend; Some headers feel crowded, with large heatsinks everywhere
