Should have just bought this the first time.

I bought this to replace the Asus PEC AC51 that I had installed already. Unfortunately for my situation, hard line connection to my PC is not an option. The cheaper AC51 was giving me nothing but problems. I couldn't connect to my 5ghz band, and download speeds were awful.

tl;dr if you're on Windows 10 and trying to use 5ghz with this thing you're gonna have a bad time The drivers for this thing are just abysmal and haven't been updated since 2017. If you go with the Windows provided driver then your throughput (i.e.

Went through a few devices before spending more and getting something that's solid. I monitor the strength of the connection via constant pings, other devices would ping low, then randomly drop for 2 minutes before returning. This bad boy just stays up, all of the time.

Easy to install and setup.

As with any decent Asus product this is of good quality. Easy to install in your rig and get running. For anyone less familiar with WiFi and bandwidth speeds this will easily stream 4k while also browsing as long as your internet is 'fast' enough.

Solved My Range/Drop-out Issues

This device installed on a Win 7 machine with no problems and provides far superior performance than my previous USB Wi-Fi adapter. The PC I installed it in is located pretty far (and multiple walls including a brick one) from our router...

Very good, but just works with Windows not Linux

I like it. The quality is incredible. It is very fast and it works very well. I just have a problem with Linux, because I couldn't find any drivers for Linux, just Windows.

Best Wireless Card I have experience with

My router is at the main floor and one of my PC is located on the 2nd floor, and it also pretty far away from my router. I use the antenna extender and still pick up the signal pretty strong. I used it for almost a year now and have not see any signal drop once so far.

Very good looking high end card; I brought 3 of these cards for my home use, it runs very stable and fast

Getting more expensive than the other similar product

ASUS PCE-AC56 Dual-Band AC1300 PCI-E Wireless Adapter

Product is built well, nice magnetic base but as already mentioned no 5ghz! Would be a good product otherwise

Installation was a breeze and it was plug and play with a fresh install of Windows 10. It was tough finding a wireless network card that offered plug and play on Windows 10 with no hassle. Card seems to perform well and no issues after 2 months of use.

-Plug and Play with Windows 10; -Build quality feels on point; -Decent aesthetics; -PCI-E x1; -Option to use detachable antenna

-Expensive (paid $74.99 w/free shipping

Awesome, worth the price.

I have gone with cheaper $30 or less wifi cards in the past and they always had some sort of connection issues so I went with this one this time and I am very happy with it. Worth it if you need to use for gaming or something like that.

Fast connection

-slightly annoying blue activity light in the back
