Assassin's Creed 2

One of the most celebrated franchises of the current generation of consoles makes its triumphant return as master assassin Ezio sneaks and slays through the streets of 15th century Italy.

Terrific writing; voice acting and gameplay comes together in a fantastic experience that builds upon the epic scope of the original

Assassin's Creed II

The climbing and jumping wouldn't be as rewarding if Ezio weren't so graceful, but he is one of the best-animated characters yet seen in a game. You'll admire his footwork early in the game in particular, when his assassin's garb does not veil the incredible animations of his legs and feet.

Huge; beautifully realized world to explore; Ezio is a terrific new character; Tombs put a spotlight on the excellent and enjoyable platforming; A greater variety of missions; weapons; and stealth techniques than in the original; Incredible production values

Some additions are a little contrived; A few gameplay and visual quirks

Assassin's Creed 2 Review

Assassin's Creed 2 connects the original Assassin Creed 's dots, without forgetting to draw a unique picture. The predicessor, while technically impressive, is in retrospect a series of so-so scouting missions punctuated by unremarkable assassinations.

You like period pieces; free running or lust for stealth kills

You have a fear of heights; theology or Italians

Assassin's Creed II review

One of the most immersive games of 2009. An epic storyline and excellent gameplay leave us almost entirely satisfied.

A large amount of activities; Less repetition; Highly immersive; Gorgeous portrayal of Renaissance Italy

Occasionally tricky controls; Not much change in the realm of graphics

Everything right this time

The design team really just decided to do everything right this time around. The first game was fun but this is a completely different game, far superior to the first. Definitely worth a buy.

Massive world, great storyline, new currency system with the shops is fantastic; All the different side quests make a refreshing change from the first game; Just tons of fun to play

It doesn't play in 1080p...; not so much a con I guess but, as the box says it's supposed to, I would have hoped it would be; Rare visual issues but hardly noticable and not a problem

Assassin's Creed 2 Review

An assassin's job is to eliminate a target with cunning stealth, blend in with a crowd, and when necessary use brute force to accomplish his objective. They live in the underbelly of society, but appear as an everyman, only to pounce on helpless prey with lightening fast attacks.

Assassin's Creed II Xbox 360, PS3 Review

History has a funny habit of repeating itself. The original Assassin's Creed was a near perfect example of video game marketing done absolutely right. An example of how the hype-machine can be used to take a fairly average action game and sell it to millions of people, regardless of a relatively...

Assassin’s Creed II: Battle of Forli Review

[ Note: This DLC can be played in two ways. If you have already completed all of the story levels in Assassin's Creed 2 , you can find it in the game's main menu after buying and downloading it, but if you are still playing through the game and have not reached memory block 12, the game will...

One of the best females in the game; Expands on the city of Forli

Only some escort missions; No unique achievement for this DLC

Assassin's Creed II

]Assassins Creed 2 took everything that made Assassins Creed fun and entertaining, and improved it ten fold, and all the repetition issues from the first game are non existent. Assassins Creed 2 is a visual masterpiece.

The beginning of an epic and memorable adventure

Assassin's creed 1 was the story of Master Assassin Altair. Meanwhile, Assassin II begins with the story Ezio Auditore. The game is an action adventure that is very memorable and has a unique story. It takes place in ancient Italy in the 1500s and features stunning landscapes of Venice and Florence.
