Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood Review

And there we have it. This review is on the long side -- one of our longest ones this year, in fact -- and we could easily go on and on singing the praises about Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood and evangelise about how the other two games have merely been stepping stones on the way to creating this,...

Free-running and fighting around Roma; It feels more fluid than ever, Burning Borgia towers down and re-building the city; The money system is very rewarding, The refreshingly unique multiplayer experience

The texture popping; but we're really picking at straws

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood review (PS3)

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood would be easier to love if it didn't closely follow Assassin's Creed II . You can have some fantastic gaming experiences while you spend the 30 or 40 hours it takes to do everything important in Brotherhood , but little issues along the way keep everything from coming...

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood

One of the first games I bought after I got my X360 was Assassin's Creed II. For hours I was Ezio Auditore, a man who after the murder of his father and brothers pledged to take revenge for the injustice that was done to his family. Long story short: a great game that made me long for more.

The ladies of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood have both bark and bite. If you played Assassin's Creed II , then you already know Caterina Sforza, the comely Italian countess with a soft spot for sly, rugged assassins.

Huge; beautiful city stuffed with amazing details; Lairs and other platforming sequences are fantastic; Long; with lots of fun and varied activities; Economy is more meaningful than before; All sorts of improvements; big and small

Main story is disappointing; Assassin recruitment is contrived and ultimately meaningless; Glitches

Assassins Creed: Brotherhood

A few nitpicks aside, "Assassins Creed: Brotherhood" is hands-down, the best game in the series and one of the finest games of this generation. Managing to accomplish the impossible by providing viewers with a compelling fluid, narrative only a year after its phenomenal predecessor along with a...

Front Mission Evolved

Front Mission Evolved tries very hard to instil the idea that at the heart of every mech is a living, breathing, human with a soul. It's a shame the game doesn't have one. Set in the year 2171, wars are now won using huge armoured humanoid battle vehicles called Wanzers *snigger* – also known as...

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

Forget those last two paragraphs though - the scales are most definitely tipping in favour of 'BUY THIS NOW'. Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is one of this year's finest releases, and improves on everything we loved about the previous title, while adding plenty of its own excellent features.

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

Let's deal with the elephant in the room right now: Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood isn't a quick cash-in on last year's massively successful and (mostly) critically-acclaimed sequel. It's not a full-blown sequel, either; this isn't Assassin's Creed 3 .

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

With the help of a young inventor names Leonardo da Vinci you will get various weapons for your arsenal like poison blade, smoke bombs and even a flying machine. Assassins Creed Brotherhood is a definite upgrade to its predecessor. Everything has been improved upon in this game.

A Really Big Hit

Just a year after the excellent Assassin's Creed II, some thought Assassin's Creed Brotherhood would be a nice bit of Christmas filler before the real ACIII came out. However, Ubisoft have produced a lot more than that.
