Ashes Cricket 2009 UK Review

You might not have noticed but there's a game of cricket going on at the moment. That'll explain the surreptitious earpiece worn by the guy who sits the other side of the office, and it also explains the infrequent yelps he makes as he listens to Test Match Special.

Ashes Cricket 2009 Xbox 360 Review

After almost a decade away, Codemasters' Brian Lara Cricket was resurrected to much fanfare and sales success in 2005. Two years later, the game received an update, and now in the present year of 2009, Brian Lara Cricket is seemingly no more, replaced by Ashes Cricket 2009.

Ashes Cricket 2009

The batting is very similar to previous codemasters cricket games. you have your big hit button, normal button block button and use your stick to aim. Great for cricket fans but not of much interest to anyone else. The game is easy to pick up and play and has an in depth tutorial system, so with a bit of practice anyone can become a master.

Those Sky ads that show people watching on their PCs while at work clearly don't paint a true picture of what employees...

It seems like something of a bad omen that on the day that Codemasters latest attempt at recreating an authentic leather-on-willow experience is released, England's batsmen surrendered the entire first innings of their Ashes match for just 102 runs.

I torrented it online. I had a lot of fun playing it. The online mode was bleh, plain, but atleast they included online, which was great, and I had a ton of fun with that until there were issues with my computer, not the game, and I had to delete it.
