Apple Macbook Pro Mid 2012 (i5, 8GB RAM, 500GB) - Excellent review

The new MacBook Pro with Retina Display is undoubtedly Apple's most impressive laptop to date. Stunning Retina Display, Fierce processing power, Effortless multi-tasking

Lack of Retina optimised apps, No optical drive, Very pricey

Apple Macbook Pro Mid 2012 (i5, 8GB RAM, 500GB) - Excellent review

Entry-level "Pro". Apple's MacBook Pro series has been enjoying great popularity for many years now. The notebooks from Cupertino offer high performance, look great, and seem to retain their value better than any competitor's product.

- excellent build quality, - good display, - large trackpad with comprehensive gesture support, - long battery life, - compact dimensions, - comparatively high performance

- low display resolution, - slow hard drive, - SSD at a premium, - battery not user exchangeable, - fan is loud under load

Apple Macbook Pro Mid 2012 (i5, 8GB RAM, 500GB) - Excellent review

We have a few gripes with Apple's new 13-inch MacBook Pro for spring 2011, but we can't deny that it's still the slickest, coolest and most enjoyable laptop money can currently buy.

Fast Core i5 and Core i7 processors; great design; stunning display; good battery life.

No USB 3.0 port; no dedicated graphics card; very expensive.
