Sound echoed and was poor.

Given other reviews, I was expecting at least a good product. I am not looking for phenomenal sound, just something reasonable that allows me to listen and not bother other people around me.

Pull out hair!

I have two pairs of AKGs the K240 MKII and the K240s. Yea they get the job done BUT I have long hair and EVERY time I take them off they pull at least 3 hairs from my head by the roots! others I have do not pull hair! They know how to play nice! lol :)

AKG K240 MKII

We see a fair number of AKG headphones here, but rarely models form the Pro side of the business, which is where these K 240 MK IIs come from.

Comfortable; spacious; even delivery; don't leak as much as the fully open ‘phones

Too soft to dig-up the finest details and dynamic nuances; needs a bit more punch

AKG K240 MKII Headphones

Do take note that this is solely my opinion and I don't represent the individual tastes of every Head fi'er out there. YMMV The Infamous AKG "Sextetts". Courtesy of Whitney Dafoe Photography, "It speaks for itself!

- Additional Velour Pads and Coiled Cable; Detachable Connectors; Classic AKG Styling; A Laidback Reference; Realistic 3D Soundstage

- Requires gargantuan power to really sing; Unnatural treble; May be considered "exciting" to some

AKG 240 Studio

Bought at Guitar Center for $69 in July of 2016. QC seems very good. Comfortable to wear. Screw on 1/8th adapter makes nice solid connection. So far so good, hope it lasts....73 K1WJ

Very comfortable headphones

I needed a headphone to play the guitar at night without waking up the family and neighbors. My main criterion is comfort, I can not bear long headphones in general. This is what attracted me to the AKG, I can wear long without it bothers me. It comes with two different pads for comfort.

Bought the AKG K250 MKII to replace the K240 that I used for 10 years. After researching other options decided to go with this model because I like the semi-open back sound, comfort, addition of an extra detachable coiled cable and extra set of ear pads.

AKG K240 MKII

The AKG K240 MKII is a consistently reliable headphone, ranking highly in its particular segment of the market. Worth particular praise is the scope of delivery, with AKG going out of its way to ensure this headphone model arrives with a mighty array of accessories.

Attention accurate sound lovers!

If you want to hear music uncolored from its source, these are for you. One of the only products I have purchased about which I can report no negatives.
