iRiver T60 Digital Media Player - 4 GB

I purchased this unit so that I could record convention talks. I loved the compact size and the sound clarity. It uploaded recorded data very nicely into Windows Player version 11. I don't like a few of things about it, though. (1) This unit uses up a AAA battery every 1.5 hours of recording time.

We have substituted our listed item for this one :

Next time when you are traveling overnight, you can carry your sound system along with you! This sounds really exciting, isn't it? If you are thinking how is that possible, then try out the battery operated iRiver's T60 4GB MP3 Player.

- Supported by AAA batteries; - Clarity of sound; - Supported by high quality OGG

- The screen is supported by low resolution; - The navigation system can be a bit tricky; - The battery life is average

Sporting a prism shaped design and all the basic features you'd expect out of a modern music player, the iRiver T60 is a fairly solid portable music player. The interface is a little fiddly and the design isn't as easy to fit in your pocket as some MP3 players, but it has good quality audio and is...

Great sound quality; nice loop functions; equaliser included

Fiddly controls; poor quality screen

iRiver T60

iRiver's T60 may look look like a popular prism-shaped chocolate bar, but its ubiquity at airports will be significantly less than its Swiss doppelganger. This simple MP3 player comes in 1GB, 2GB and 4GB capacities, priced at £49, £69 and £89 respectively.

Amazing sound quality; using AAA batteries is convenient; high-quality OGG support

Navigation can be tricky; low-res screen

iRiver T60 (4GB)

iRiver has fallen away from the public eye since its products first reached our shores a few years back. For a time its hard disk players were the only serious rivals for Apple's all-conquering iPod, but since then, increased competition has seen its presence on our high streets wane.

Good sound, crappy controls

EQ settings are awesome. Sound quality is great. But the little knob for controlling the unit is horrible. Pressing the knob is the equivalent as typing the enter/return key on your keyboard.

4Gb player has some faults

I had the 2GB version of iRiver 's flash player with AA battery, the T10, and that was an amazing player. It seems iRiver has cheapened out this new model in every way possible. They went to a small AAA battery, with much shorter battery life. Why?

"Basic but good mp3 player."

I had this mp3 player for a couple of years and I grew to really like it. Please note that newer more fancy mp3 players are available now, although I bought mine a few years back. The player is reliable and never broke down. It is easy to use and you don't need to ever read the instruction manual.
