iRiver Lplayer review

iRiver's Lplayer is an 8GB portable media player so small and cute you'll want to take it home and adopt it. And at 41g, it's no heavyweight, either.

iRiver Lplayer review

iRiver's Lplayer is a light player, bizarrely resembling a miniature television set. With only a sprinkling of buttons running along the sides, you could be fooled into thinking operation comes via the touch-sensitive 2-inch screen.

iRiver Lplayer 8GB MP3 player

Review After the disappointing E100 we're happy to report that iRiver's is getting back into its groove with the second device to hit the UK this year, the tiny Lplayer.

Review: iriver Lplayer

The latest digital media player to be released by iriver in the US is the super compact Lplayer. Boasting OGG, FLAC, and XviD support, the flash player packs a 2-inch TFT display, D-Click navigational system, FM radio, and other extra features into a glossy casing that could be sitting in your hand...

iriver Lplayer

The Lplayer from iriver will seem familiar to some people. At first glance, it looks like a smaller iriver Clix . The two players use the same D*click technology-the company's term for its innovative, practically button-free design.

Compact design; Good-looking graphics; Easy, push-screen navigation; FM radio and recording; Voice recording

Tiny screen; Some menu options can be difficult to find; Video conversion software can mess up aspect ratios

iriver LPlayer Review

iriver announced quite a few players at CES 2008 and now they are starting to tickle out. First was the E100, now the Lplayer- next the Volcano and SPINN to follow in the next few months. I was a bit concerned that iriver lost its way with the E100 which was a rather disappointing low end player.

Solid iriver Design; Great looking screen; MSC/MTP User Selectable; Good radio reception; File Folder and ID3 Browsing

Mediocre sound quality; Screen difficult to see outside; Not on the go playlist; Weak Battery Life

Sitting at a fairly low price point, iRiver's latest entry-level portable media player, the Lplayer, is a solid product. Looking similar to iRiver's line of Clix players, the Lplayer supports a wide variety of formats and has an impressive little LCD display, making it a strong competitor to the...

Great quality screen; slim; interesting control scheme; extras such as FM radio and voice recorder; lots of file formats supported

Controls can be unresponsive; track sorting not perfect
