Time flies. This player has been my gym companion for many years. I thought I lost it last week but it miraculously reappeared. During my time without it, I was desperately looking for a replacement. Ipod nano seemed good at first but it does not play flac/ogg files.

We bought this on eBay second hand as my boyfriend needed a new media player for the gym. We decided to buy second hand as they never seem to last him very long so we didn't want to spend to much money.

Junk returned it! You have to reformat your movies before you can view them on this piece of dookie! So dont waste your hard earned money on this player.

There aren't many products out there good enough to impress our esteemed editor Riyad. But when iRiver launched its first D-Click-based MP3 player back in 2007, he was bowled over.

For the price it is absolutely good. The only problem I had was that the software was incompatible with Windows 7 which means you gotta run it in Compatible Mode (XP,ME,Vista,98)...

With its full-face screen and tiny 60 x 40mm case, the Lplayer is outwardly reminiscent of Cowon's D2+. Wisely, though, iRiver has eschewed the touchscreen: instead, you control the Lplayer by clicking the screen at the top, bottom or sides. It's an ingenious idea, and it sort of works.

It may have a slow interface and tiny TFT, but you can't argue with the diminutive size

Simplicity and ease of use are the first two words that comes to mind when looking at the 4GB iRiver Lplayer. The absent of buttons gives the player a zen appearance, since it uses touch screen as its control method.

Very good quality player with the interface and software being the only things brining it down. Sound quality is amazing once you get to the sound menu. EQ is great. Overall a good player with a clunky interface.

Very good sound quality completely blows away my ipod; Videos look very crisp and clean; Size is a plus, its very small but the screen is big enough to easily watch full movies on it no problem

The interface is the only thing bringing this down, having to press the sides of the screen isnt as fast or convenient as other players and can get very annoying sometimes; No Mac Compatibility, only windows, i dont know about linux.

The iRiver L Player is the successor to the iRiver clix, but it is a lot better. Starting with how the L Player looks, its very minimalist, just like the clix. The buttons are very well hidden which is actually a nice feature, it makes it appear sleeker.
