iPhone 8 Plus 64GB

The 5.5-inch iPhone 8 Plus is quite similar to its predecessor 7 Plus version with the notable exception that the back side is made out of glass. Wireless charging technology based upon the Qi-standard requires a transparent material like glass in order to properly work.

The exterior of iPhone 8 Plus as well as the smaller iPhone 8 also look similar to iPhone 7 Plus' including a fingerprint scanner and a home button. It also sports a Retina-screen. The new True Tone technology, however, improves colour rendering and increases the range of colours that the phone can display.

Dual-rear 12 MP cameras mean that the new iPhone 8 takes higher-quality photos. Furthermore, recording in slow motion at a frame rate of 240 fps in 1080p is double that of iPhone 7.

The phone is powered by Apple’s A11 processor, which contains a neural system capable of face-recognition (currently only available on iPhone X). It lacks a headphone jack and is waterproof.

The operating system employed is the new iOS 11.

iPhone 8 Review: Smart Phone, Dumb Upgrade

You'll need to make your own mind up about this one, since it's a refined smartphone but a lacklustre upgrade. Had Apple included a fast charger and maybe some form of wireless charging pad, it would have matched the 8/10 awarded to last year's iPhone 7 Plus.

iPhone 8 Review: Don't Waste Your Time or Your Money

Would I buy this phone? Absolutely not. I can think of multiple phones I'd rather own and use than the iPhone 8. The camera is great, as is the A11 chipset, but that's not enough to warrant a price hike on a phone that is more or less indistinguishable from last year's iPhone 7.

A11 CPU is MASSIVELY Powerful; Like What Apple's Done With iOS 11; Decent Camera

Too Expensive; Boring Design; Squiffy Performance; Average Battery Life

In an odd change of tune for Apple, the new iPhone 8 can't really be said to be this year's "best iPhone ever". Sure, it's got a better processor, quality-of-life improvements like wireless charging and an ever-so-slightly refined design.

A11 Bionic Processor; Premium feel

Camera feels mediocore by Apple's standards; Expensive

iPhone 8 and 8 Plus

The iPhone 8 exists simultaneously in two time periods-an emerging future pervaded by innovative new apps incorporating augmented reality and machine learning and a past when LCD displays offered the best quality and the user's relationship to the screen was less emphasized.

The new A11 chip delivers industry-leading performance; Excellent video camera and solid still photos; Future proof for the next new wave of apps and games; Wireless charging adds day-to-day convenience; You'll get excellent software with iOS 11

Design; aesthetics; and bezels lag behind current trends and consumer expectations; Battery life still isn't where most people would want it to be; If you can afford it; it's hard not to justify going with an OLED display these days-and there's no HDR; to boot; Apart from performance; the iPhone 8...

Apple iPhone 8 Plus review: Till the iPhone X comes, this is the best

Apple iPhone 8 Plus is an upgrade on the iPhone 7 Plus, and sports one major design change in the form of a glass back. But is there more to this phone?

I have used the, It's really powerful under the hood and made to take on the challenges of a dual camera, ARkit apps and 4K video recording; The phone handles everything with ease and despite getting a bit warm at times, has no issues with performance.

iPhone 8 Plus review: are you really sure you want that iPhone X? (Yes, we know you are)

The main question is whether you should buy this phone or wait for the incoming iPhone X. The greatest question of the next month! Our take is that you should only wait for the iPhone X if you can embrace change. Most people can't, which is why we bring it up.

Looking aged versus rivals; No mobile HDR; The iPhone X is coming

From the outside the iPhone 8 looks almost identical to the iPhone 7 but there are enough new features and improvements to make the latest model much better than its predecessor. But, in a first for Apple, there is also a better iPhone – the iPhone X – about to be released in a matter of weeks.

If there's an iPhone to buy right now, it is the iPhone 8 Plus. It is quite unusual to start a review with what seems like a verdict. But, there seems to be no illusion about which is the best Apple smartphone to buy until the iPhone X is out.

Brief review

The camera is the best in the world at present with 94 rating on DxoMark edging over the Samsung Note 8. ?Wireless charging is useful ?Glass back feels premium ?Dual camera is powerful with portrait lightning mode making it too good.
