Apple iPhone 6s – full Australian review

While the launch of an ‘s' model iPhone is generally more of an update than an overhaul, there are actually quite a few new features in the iPhone 6S to get excited about.

Great 12 megapixel camera; fun video modes including 4K; 3D Touch; powerful

Pricey

iPhone 6s - There's just one problem

An iPhone with an "s" in its name is never quite as exciting as one with a new number. The "s" years don't bring slick new form factors but iterative improvements. A bump in RAM or a jump in camera specifications is useful, but it's much easier to get enthusiastic about a change in design.

3D Touch is a meaningful innovation; Amazing cameras; 2GB of RAM makes the iPhone 6s zippier

Battery may underwhelm power users, Still starts at 16GB, More expensive this year thanks to Aus; dollar

Apple iPhone?6S

The iPhone story for 2015 is remarkable in that it is an ‘S' year, which usually means incremental changes with no obvious physical difference from last year's model, but Apple's given the iPhone 6S a complete structural and functional makeover.

Apple iPhone 6s (Verizon Wireless)

Our conclusions for the iPhone 6s on T-Mobile still hold for the Verizon model, although a little less emphatically. Despite almost identical looks, the 6s is still a considerable step up from the iPhone 6. It's faster, it has better cameras, and 3D Touch shows potential.

Recovers from dead zones faster than iPhone 6; Excellent cameras; Super-fast processor; 3D Touch has lots of potential

Front-facing camera could be sharper; Average battery life

Big changes have been made to Apple's iPhone 6s. The naked eye will consider this smartphone identical to its predecessor with its eerie, twin-like looks, and yet this generation's model represents a substantial step forward, from the fabric of its metal body to the computing components that...

Improved construction; 3D Touch will reap genuine benefits; Faster processor and double the RAM; 12MP rear and 5MP front camera; TouchID is among the best finger scanners

Cameras lack OIS and could be higher in resolution; Battery life still lesser than rivals

The Apple iPhone 6s has a strengthened exoskeleton that employs aerospace-grade 7000 Series aluminium and glass which, according to Apple, is the strongest and most durable used in any smartphone.

iPhone 6s review

An impeccably made phone, the iPhone 6s's familiar design houses unparalleled power and an innovative new input system that could influence the path of mobile game design for years to come

Apple iPhone 6S

Due to Apple in the UK being, shall we say, frugal with items they send out for review the whole Apple brand gets little coverage. Recently the same external source supplied me with an iPad to review and now the latest iPhone, the S6.

A 10-star phone as always with iPhone. Less any problems: - The noise sometimes disappears, the caller does not hear me or me. It works to push the speakers and back. Two friends have exactly the same problem and it came with iOS 10. But no updates help.

Apple iPhone 6s review: More than just a speed-bump

The tradition in recent years has been for each new generation of the iPhone -- such as last year's iPhone 6 and 6 Plus -- to be followed by a more modest 's' update. The 's' generally indicates a speed-bump, with the new model adding a faster processor and perhaps a few other refinements, but...

Innovative 3D Touch technology; Faster A9 processor; with 2GB memory; 12MP iSight camera; 5MP front camera; Tougher aluminium case and glass screen

Expensive; and 16GB configuration is pointless; Battery life leaves room for improvement; Third-party apps must be updated to use 3D Touch
