However, in addition to the iPhone 5S, Apple is also still sellingthe iPhone 5C -- but only in a single 8GB capacity, down from its original 16GB and 32GB models. It's priced at $450 in the US ("free" with a 2-year contract), £319 in the UK, and AU$529 in Australia. If you can't find an older 16GB or higher model available for sale, the paltry 8GB capacity makes this 2014 update of the 5C tougher to recommend.

Really good phone. I use it for my personal use, to test my games, call, text, browse, email, etc. I'm a hefty user and it handles it all well. Pros: No hiccups in operation. Fast enough. Most durable iPhone I've used. Cons: Expensive Not Nokia level durable. Annoying mid pubescent teen coloring.
On its own merits, the iPhone 5c is a wonderful phone. If you're not fussed about large screens or the awesome tinkering-powers of Android, you'll love its cheery design, seamless software and plastic fantastic build.

We have few qualms with the hardware: the iPhone 5c is as delightful to hold as Apple claims; After several days using the final software however, we're still not completely taken by iOS 7's new design.
Unless someone is giving you this phone for free, take a pass. Though it's got decent hardware and a great OS, the one-size-fits-no-one 8GB of storage makes this phone pretty useless.
