I t's been a long time coming. Sure, we've had the first-gen iPhone in India in some form or the other ever since it launched in the US, but hey, "official" is always better than "nothing official".

The iPhone 3G will be available to AT&T customers on July 11, 2008. I am one of the fortunate ones with a birds eye view of what the new iPhone 3G has in store for consumers. A friend of mine scooped a ticket to the Apple World Wide Developers Conference 2008 that concludes June 13.

Pocket perfection

I have been using the iPhone 3G ever since I waited in line and bought one a bit over two weeks ago. The big question people ask me is if it's worth the 199 USD and increase in monthly service fees. It is, but only slightly.

The caption "The iPhone you've been waiting for" on Apple's website says it all. The fact is, despite its revolutionary interface and outstanding ease of use, the original iPhone lacked some pretty crucial features, tied you into an 18-month contract and cost £269.

If you've been cautious and waited a year for the second generation of iPhone, your patience will be rewarded. The iPhone 3G improves on the original iPhone's audio quality, offers access to a faster data network, and sports built-in GPS functionality.

We've been playing around with the Apple iPhone for a few days now and can honestly say we're addicted. This touchscreen makes if so incredibly fun to play with and use. With its stylish looks, the iPhone comes loaded with a whack of applications and features: phone, contacts, text messaging, GPS...

This bullion beauty is the most decadent iPhone add-on since the $1,000 I Am Rich app. For two Gs, you can dress your 3G in a deliciously crass case that packs more karats than Bugs Bunny's lunch box (24 to be exact).
