Don’t buy it just for 5G.

Apple’s base-model iPhone now has an OLED display, unlike last year’s LCD on the iPhone 11. It has an incredibly fast chip. And it supports 5G, for whenever 5G is widely available in the US. Phone ships with a USB-C to Lightning cable, which is great if you’re the owner of a newer MacBook laptop.

In a vacuum, the camera is great; compared to last year’s iPhones, the camera isn’t jaw-droppingly better. Phone’s display has the same refresh rate as the display on iPhone 11. Battery life wasn’t noticeably better. No more earbuds in the box.

The iPhone 12 will set you back PHP 49,990 for the 64GB variant on Apple’s authorized reseller. If you are coming from the iPhone Xs or Xr or an older generation of iPhone, the iPhone 12 is a pretty nice upgrade in all aspects.

The iPhone 12 starts at Rs 79,990 (64GB variant) and for most people an expensive buy. It’s the iPhone that we expect most people to buy not just because the iPhone 12 Pro costs a good Rs 40,000 more because most might not see the benefit of spending that extra cash.

The iPhone 12 is a great all-around device and a good middle-ground between the cheaper iPhone 12 Mini and SE and the more expensive iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max. If you’re looking at the iPhone 12 series, the middle of the road iPhone 12 should be the one to get for most people.

Never ever going to order online from Good Guys again! Order an Iphone 12 as Birthday present to my partner, still haven't received after almost a month! First, order was accepted when they are out of stock. Only found out there was no stock after 10 days when calling up to check. Okay,call mupltiple times and they finally managed to post the product, One of the Brigton Brach Staff has put in the wrong address! The iPhone 12 sports a gorgeous new design, full 5G support, great cameras and even better performance. However, the lack of a charger in box and limited base storage are drawbacks. I’m of two minds about the iPhone 12.
