Apple iPhone 12 128GB - Black MGJA3X/A review

If you are looking to upgrade your existing phone and have a spare Rs 79,900 for a new smartphone, I won’t stop you from buying the iPhone 12. You are getting a 6.1-inch OLED screen, the classic design of iPhone 4, super-fast A14 Bionic chipset, capable cameras, all-screen front, Face ID and long...

Apple iPhone 12 review

We were big fans of last year’s iPhone 11, and huge improvements made to the design and display mean that its successor gets an equally emphatic thumbs-up. In fact, we’d go as far as to say that if you think you can live without the telephoto camera (and most people probably can), you should save yourself the £150-£200 (depending on which configuration you go for) and get the 12 ahead of the Pro. In so many ways it’s exactly the same phone, and is just as 5G-ready, though don’t let that be the reason you upgrade. Big or small phone lovers should hold on for verdicts on the two iPhones still to come this year, but for everyone else, the iPhone 12 is one of Apple’s very best to date.

Stunning to look at and impressively light in the hand; Finally an OLED display for the non-Pro iPhone; 5G future-proofed; Brilliant, versatile camera system ;

We’d rather have a telephoto than the ultra-wide; 5G may be here, but most people won’t find much of it yet; Battery life decent rather than brilliant ;

Apple iPhone 12 128GB - Black MGJA3X/A review

The iPhone 12 marks a significant design improvement on the last three years of iPhones. Like a skilful remix of the good bits of a decade of iPhones, the iPhone 12 harks back to the stellar design of the iPhone 4 while keeping the all-screen front, Face ID and excellent gesture system of the iPhone...

Apple iPhone 12 128GB - Black MGJA3X/A review

The Apple iPhone 12, just like how the iPhone 12 Pro is over the iPhone 11 Pro, is a serious upgrade. Year on year, there are big improvements across the board. Be it the refreshed design, be it the display tech, be it the even faster processor now allowing smarter stuff like night mode on all...

Apple iPhone 12 128GB - Black MGJA3X/A review

The iPhone 12 will set you back PHP 49,990 for the 64GB variant on Apple’s authorized reseller. If you are coming from the iPhone Xs or Xr or an older generation of iPhone, the iPhone 12 is a pretty nice upgrade in all aspects.

Apple iPhone 12 review: The iPhone for everyone

For that group of people who want a new iPhone, but just can't justify the price of the iPhone 12 Pro range, this is a great choice without having to feel like you are settling for second best.

OLED display; More powerful processor; Better camera experience; Dolby Vision support; MagSafe; 5G;

No telephoto lens; Smudges easily; Colours aren't as playful as previous years; Price bump over previous year;
