It's difficult to divorce any discussion of the merits or otherwise of the iPhone 11 Pro without mention of the price, so let's get that out of the way first. In my view, considering how good the rest of its rivals are right now, the iPhone 11 Pro is simply too expensive.

The release of the iPhone 11 Pro Max coincides with the withdrawal of the iPhone XS Max, which may be a smart move by Apple. There are differences between the two models, but they are not great enough to justify selling both devices alongside each other.
