I bought this to take with me to work to watch movies and to House my large iPod library. It has a nice storage capacity it's a perfect size and the battery life is excellent.
"Great iPad, works just as well as it's larger counterparts in a more practical size. This fits in my handbag easily. Very quick and efficient. "
Apple recently lowered the price of the 128GB iPad mini 4 knocking $100 off the price while also introducing a new 9.7-inch iPad at an amazing introductory price of $329. However, does the new lower cost of the 128GB iPad mini 4 make it a compelling purchase
This year we got (at last) a good iPad Mini, there are a lot of great and improved features and although it has been claimed to be a shrunken iPad Air 2, it clearly isn't, hardware-wise it's quite different.
Editor's note, March 18, 2019: Apple has announced two new iPads. Starting at $499 (£479, AU$779) for the 64GB model, the new iPad Air features a 10.5-inch Retina display, an A12 Bionic processor and support for the Apple Pencil. It replaces the 10.5-inch iPad Pro from 2017, which is no longer sold. The new iPad Mini, starting at $399 (£399, AU$599) for the 64GB version, also has the A12 chip and Pencil support, but is otherwise nearly identical to the iPad Mini 4 it replaces. The original review of the iPad Mini, first published July 2, 2016 and last updated on June 9, 2017, follows.
Unless you're absolutely in love with the iPad Mini 4's smaller size, opt for the faster, larger, identically priced, and still pretty portable iPad Air 2.
Compact size, vivid display, works with split-screen apps in iOS 9; Basically, a shrunken-down iPad Air 2; Perfect hand feel for vacations.
Price is high for an 8-inch tablet; Slower graphics mean some apps and games don't feel as zippy; Small screen makes for cramped typing and multitasking.
Farewell, iPad mini 3 , we hardly knew ye. Casually announced at the end of Apple's iPad Pro presentation, the iPad mini 4 replaces last year's mini 3 as the company's high-end small-screen tablet. The iPad mini 4 is a lot like its predecessor in many ways, save for some key hardware upgrades that make it feel faster. It's a great small tablet that runs smoothly, with a fantastic app experience and a premium feel—but it's hard to justify the $399 base price (for the 16GB model) when you can buy the still-solid iPad mini 2 ($29.99 at eBay) for $269. Design and PricingAvailable in gold, silver, or space gray, the iPad mini 4 ( at Amazon) is just about identical to the iPad mini 3, except a bit thinner and lighter. It measures 8 by 5.3 by 0.24 inches (HWD) to the iPad mini 3's 8 by 5.3 by 0.29 inches. And the new mini 4 weighs just 10.4 ounces compared with the mini 3's 11.7 ounces, making it even more comfortable to hold on your daily commute. There are no drastic changes to the...
The Apple iPad mini 4 is a top-notch small-screen tablet with unparalleled build quality and app support, but it's still hard to justify the jump in price over the iPad mini 2.
Excellent build quality; Upgraded hardware from last iteration; Good camera; Reduced screen glare; Unbeatable app experience
Expensive; Occasional minor performance issues in testing
Subtle display tweaks make it easier on the eyes; Super portable form factor; Longevity in battery life;
FaceTime camera is still a measly 1.2MP; No 3D Touch;
The Apple iPhone 14 is no match for the just-released iPhone 14 Pro, but if you ignore that, it’s one of the most effective phones around.
Great cameras, front and back, Fast performance, Good battery life, Innovative safety features
Design too familiar, Some average features
