Hate Apple. But device was a present as requested.

I don't like this product at all because it's made by Apple. You can't use any music, videos or e-books on it unless bought from apple, (or use third party software) and then they have DRM on them so they cannot be used except on an apple product. Yet you have bought and paid for them. GROSS!

Apple iPad Air: Lighter and more powerful than ever before

Apple continues to dominate the tablet realm and despite worthy efforts from the Android camp, no one has been able to truly knock them off the pedestal. Rather than just getting a beefed up version of the iPad 4th Gen this year, we got a completely overhauled iPad, heavily influenced by the iPad...

Review Apple iPad Air Tablet

With the iPad Air , Apple once again delivers an outstanding tablet . The device both looks and functions as if it were born whole, operating system and software included. The Californian company once again manages to create a device that stands out from the crowd.

Bright; high-contrast display; Excellent color reproduction; Good touchscreen; High-performance SoC; First-class manufacturing; Very long battery life; Fast browser performance; Fit for VoIP audio/video calls; Very good speakers..; The iPad Air is thin and lightweight.

...which are unfortunately poorly positioned, High surface temperatures under load, No current data transfer standards, No Flash support, The iPad's connectivity options are still somewhat meager; Apple should work on this in the future

Apple iPad Air Review

The iPad Air is probably the best 10-inch tablet we've ever used, but if you want one tablet, we recommend holding out for the iPad Mini with Retina.

Thin and light; looks great; Powerful 64-bit processor; New Wi-Fi antennas are fast; iOS 7 runs best on Air; Battery life is a solid 10 hours

Speakers are a step down from iPad 4; Camera quality has not improved; Not as comfortable as iPad Mini

Review: Apple iPad Air

Apple first introduced the "Air" branding scheme in conjunction with its ultra-slim and portable MacBook line back in 2008. The term was meant to connote a laptop that wasn't just lighter, but also uber thin, and able to achieve epic battery life.

Incredibly lightweight with a super-slim, redesigned form factor; A7 chip, in addition to helping provide an impressive 10-plus hours of battery life, offers superb overall performance whether you're surfing the web or streaming media.

No TouchID, just a regular old home button; Despite upgrading to stereo speakers - audio separation remains poor; 5-megapixel rear-facing shooter could use an update

Excellent Except For 1 Thing

I upgraded from an iPad3 w/32GB of memory running iOS7. The improvement in performance as well as size/weight is easily noticeable. My only and big complaint is that Safari seems to continually reload tabs every time I switch from tab to tab. Extremely frustrating.

Easy To Use; Fast; Powerful

Safari Constantly Reloads

A nice intermediate addition to my devices, sitting between my Mac Book and my LG Android phone.

I've been a Mac user since the eighties and have been wanting and I-Pad for quite some time. An important thing that I read online about tablets is that you shouldn't expect them to behave as laptops so: be aware that the apps for a tablet have a totally different interface than software written for...

Great, but

We purchased 2 of the new ipads last year, but passed those on and purchased 2 Ipad Air. My wife loves taking pictures and she loves the fact that you can play games, listen to music, take pictures, etc.

Easy To Set Up; Easy To Use; Low Power Consumption; Quality Construction

Sometime on a game you get a ad and accidentally click on it. Then later when you come onto the App Store I can't get the information about the previous app down ( because there is no exit button)
