It's tough to criticise the iPad Air 2, because it's a refinement of what was already the best tablet on the market. It's slightly thinner and lighter, and has a better camera and a fingerprint reader for more convenient unlocking and payments.

IPad AIR 2

Great gamer don't strain your eyes , rather pricey but think maybe value is there! ??????????

Super Fast, superb video , full size keyboard, quick touch screen, easy clean screen, I impressed with proformance; WIFI very dependable, can text to Apple devices and email them; Load up FREE WIFI easy find a connection spot! Get s soft case

Well it so thin I find it hard to hang on too! Use a soft case for bounce proofing

Apple iPad Air 2 review : Apple's best tablet yet, but is that enough

The iPad Air 2 is undoubtedly Apple's best tablet to date. Its Touch ID fingerprint scanner works well, it's thin, light and powerful and lasts a long time on a single charge. But it no longer stands head and shoulders above the competition.

thin; light; long battery; powerful processor; fingerprint sensor; decent camera

expensive; small upgrade over last year; square screen; no expandable storage

Review of the Apple iPad Air 2

However, if you own any previous non-Air Apple iPad, the opposite is true – keep reading, because you have every reason to upgrade. You've held on to your old iPad long enough .

Apple iPad Air 2 review: Slimmer and faster, but a smaller battery

Smartphone and tablet vendors seem to be locked in an arms race to build the thinnest possible devices at the moment, with the current thinnest smartphone - the Oppo R5 - being so skeletal at 4.85mm that it can't even accommodate a 3.5mm audio jack.

Thin; light and elegant design; Excellent build quality; Excellent performance; Low-reflectivity Retina HD display; Touch ID support; Improved iSight and FaceTime HD cameras

Lower-capacity battery than the 2013 iPad Air; No MicroSD storage expansion

iPad Air 2 Review – Apple builds a new flagship

Apple is bullish on tablets and, for all it may be the slimmest and lightest of its breed, the iPad Air 2 is undeniably its new heavyweight champion. Dropping weight and bulk while simultaneously gaining power, the iPad Air 2 also dips into the best-selling iPhone 6 ‘s pockets for features like...

Apple iPad Air 2 WiFi Australian Stock (128GB, Space Gray) - Grade (Excellent) review

Summary: The iPad Air 2's performance enhancements will appeal to those who run graphically demanding apps, although Apple's quest for thinness comes at the cost of reduced battery capacity. Last year's iPad Air remains a good option, but the Air 2 will be the power user's choice.

Thin, light and elegant design, Excellent build quality, Excellent performance, Low-reflectivity Retina HD display, Touch ID support, Improved iSight and FaceTime HD cameras

Lower-capacity battery than the 2013 iPad Air, No MicroSD storage expansion

Apple iPad Air 2 WiFi Australian Stock (128GB, Space Gray) - Grade (Excellent) review

Apple's aging mid-range tablet is still the perfect mix of size and performance for nearly everyone.

The iPad Air 2 has a great balance of size and weight. Crisp, bright display. iOS 9 runs perfectly, including split-screen apps.

Priced relatively high for a tablet; single speaker isn't that loud compared to iPad Pro.
