Review: Fourth-generation iPad is faster, stronger, better
(1 items) The release of the fourth-generation iPad so soon after the third-generation iPad may have come as a surprise to even diehard Apple watchers, but the device itself won't.- Incredibly fast performance
- Lightning connector improves over dock-connector
- Better camera performance overall
- Slightly decreased battery life
- Lightning accessories still in short supply
Apple iPad 4 (4G Version) Review
We were all taken aback when Apple released this fourth-generation iPad, not least because it came out at the same time as the iPad Mini , and only six months after the third-gen device had been released. Enter some angry Apple fans who had just paid out for a device that was already out of date.- Great Retina display
- Amazingly good battery life
- Nice range of apps
- 4G support
- improved FaceTime camera
- Not terribly portable
- Lacks memory card slot
Apple's new iPad remains the tablet to beat, but this is a minor upgrade over its predecessor
Less than eight months after Apple launched the 3rd Generation iPad (called the "new iPad"), there's a new new iPad in town. The 4th Generation iPad is a minor upgrade to the previous model but the biggest benefit for Australian users is compatible 4G connectivity.- 4G capable in Australia
- Improved front-facing camera
- Quality app ecosystem
- Only a minor upgrade over 3rd Gen
- Lightning accessories are expensive
- Gets warm with regular use
iPad 4 review
We do feel there should be a touch more "awesome" at this price, but once you've gazed adoringly into the Retina Display, you'll struggle to not hate any tablet that isn't this good.
Apple iPad 4
In announcing the fourth-generation iPad and breaking a three-year tradition of selling only one new tablet a year, Apple has caused some outrage among iPad 3 owners. But Apple needed to shorten the product cycle to add tweaks and improvements to the iPad amid a flurry of Windows 8 and Android...
Apple iPad with Retina Display
The New iPad boasts of Retina Display that is clearer and better in terms of closeness to what the naked eye sees as compared to tablets from other manufacturers. The power of the retina display feature of iPad can be greatly observed when you view high definition photos and videos, as well in...
Apple iPad 4 review
The iPad 4 is the quickest iPad yet and a solid choice for a tablet in which we can barely find fault. However, if you're not in a hurry to buy, it's worth waiting for the rumoured iPad 5, which could launch within months.
"Refurbished" iPad like new
Ordered this iPad as refurbished, but it was new as far as I could tell - in perfect condition. $50 instant coupon applied, making this a pretty good deal. Very pleased with this purchase.
Apple iPad (Third generation) Review
It's not that Apple iProducts aren't good enough – it's that they're not 'better' enough. The new Apple iPad (or iPad 3, or whatever you want to call it) packs a shimmering new high definition display, a couple extra graphics cores for its processor and an updated five-megapixel camera.- Incredibly sharp
- realistic display super-enhances movies
- gaming
- web and photos
- gorgeous hardware and software design
- 200,000 iPad-optimised apps
- upgraded camera
- Comparatively little on-board storage
- especially for a HD-media-oriented device
- front-facing camera still only VGA quality
Apple iPad 4 Review: In Depth
Apple quietly updated the iPad just six months after the third gen 'New iPad' was revealed. Officially calling the new tablet ‘iPad with Retina display,' is it worth upgrading from the iPad 3? And is Apple's iPad still the best big-screen tablet? Let's take a closer look.- Fantastic build
- Improved camera
- Amazing screen
- 4G welcome addition
- iOS still not as flexible as other OS's
- 4G doesn't support multiple bands
- Minor upgrade
