The New iPad (2012) Review: Pixel Power

The Apple iPad is the standard by which all other tablets are judged. The iPad 3 does nothing to change that. The iPad 2 was the best tablet you could buy, so it's little surprise that the iPad 3 has replaced it in that role. I can't say enough about the display.

New iPad review – it's fantastic!

The hype is warranted. The new iPad is everything they said it would be. In a word – fantastic! I got me a white 64GB iPad with 4G LTE last week, a top of the line iPad, a unit from Singapore.

Apple iPad (3rd Generation) Review

The anticipation for a new gadget can often be more exciting than getting the actual product in your hands. Apple's new iPad definitely offers some nice updates with the Retina display, 4G and improved camera, but is it a worthy upgrade for someone that already has an iPad 2?

Gorgeous display; Improved camera; 4G option; Fits in most iPad 2 cases you may already have; Bluetooth 4.0 will use less power and be a lighter drain on the battery

Thicker and heavier; Runs a little warmer than the iPad 2

New iPad Review

Third time lucky – the New iPad is the best of the lot – with a wonderfully sharp Retina display and HD snapper

Super-sharp screen makes viewing games, films, photos and the net vastly improved; improved snapper; wonderful software and hardware design; a choice of 200,000 apps optimised for iPad

Not much storage included; front-facing VGA snapper

Apple iPad (2012) - Three Steps Forward, One Step Back

Apple's third generation iPad comes with several new features such as a Retina display, A5X processor with quad-core graphics and a 5-megapixel rear camera with advanced optics. Can Apple maintain its lead over the other Android tablets this year? Let's find out.

Gorgeous display with 2,048 x 1,536 pixels; Better camera performance; Competitive price points

Heavier than its predecessor; Heats up easily; Low battery mileage when brightness level is at its highest

Apple iPad (Verizon) review - Retina display and 4G LTE

While many might have been surprised by the new Apple iPad's lack of a unique name, few of us were shocked to see that Apple has upped the ante in the largely one-sided tablet wars by adding a better than 1080p HD resolution display and 4G LTE data to the new iPad.

Beautiful industrial design; gorgeous Retina display; fast 4G LTE data; solid camera; good battery life

Thicker and heavier than the iPad 2; runs a tad warm; no microSD memory card slot

Apple iPad (3rd gen) review

Faster graphics and a good camera at last, but the groundbreaking screen alone is reason to splash out – it's a genuine leap forward

Apple iPad (3rd-Gen): The TechSpot Review

As was widely anticipated, Apple unveiled the third-generation iPad last March 7 at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco. Analysts speculated that we would see the iPad 3 or perhaps the iPad HD but Cupertino defied all in attendance by simply calling it "the new iPad."

Retina display resolution is unmatched; Great performance; Solid operating system and software ecosystem; 4G support; Same price

The iPad remains a closed device on many levels and that's something you must live with once you enter Apple's world

Apple iPad 3 review: Hotter than ever

So, the iPad is dead, long live the iPad. That's also part of the deal. The retirement of the first-generation of the Apple tablet is nothing out of the ordinary. There used to be the iPad and the iPad 2. Now, we have the iPad and the iPad 2 is the backup, the second choice. The new iPad.

9.7" LED-backlit IPS LCD touchscreen, 2048 x 1536 pixels; scratch-resistant, oleophobic coating, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n connectivity, carrier-dependent hotspot support, Optional LTE connectivity (data only, Optional GPS with A-GPS support (for the 3G model only, Apple A5X SoC with 1 GHz dual-core ARM

iTunes still required for uploading most of the content; Reflective screen struggles outdoors; Same CPU as the iPad 2; Heavier and thicker than the iPad 2; No Flash support in the web browser; No standard USB port; Non replaceable battery; No stereo loudspeakers; No GPS receiver in the Wi-Fi
