Apple iPad 2 review

Despite some operating system niggles, the otherwise slick iOS combined with elegantly designed hardware leads to some real, tangible benefits for the end user - such as excellent battery life. All this makes the iPad 2 the standard by which all other tablets will be judged.

Apple iPad 2 review: Love and hate 2.0

Our first Apple iPad review was posted in our blog. Sure, our blog was only just starting at the time and needed a boost. But that's only one side to the story. Tablets back then just couldn't match phones and weren't ready for primetime. Look at them now.

9.7" capacitive IPS touchscreen display with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels; oleophobic coating, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n connectivity, Optional 3G connectivity (data only, Optional GPS with A-GPS support, Apple A5 SoC - 1 GHz dual-core ARM Cortex A9 processor, PowerVR SGX543MP2 graphics, 512MB RAM,

iTunes required for uploading content; No Flash support in the web browser; Poor still cameras – though; really; this thing isn't meant for taking candids; No standard USB port; No kickstand – it cannot stand on a table without the help of a dock stand or a Smart cover; Non replaceable battery; No

Review: iPad 2 (Canada)

Apple calls it the "amazing" tablet that's hard to put down. The iPad 2 has finally come to Canada with new features and a new design. I was lucky enough to get my hands on the new tablet a few days before launch courtesy of Apple.

Beautiful design; Same easy to use interface; Faster Processor; Faster Graphics; Two cameras; 10 hour battery life

Camera quality is poor

So what's to like? As usual, even the most cynical Apple advocate would have to admit the iPad2 looks cool, and functions well , too. It comes preloaded with iTunes, App store, Maps etc, but again, no Flash. As if!

Apple iPad 2 Review

With the iPad's second go-around, Apple sticks to its successful formula. The iPad 2 is thinner, faster, and includes two cameras, but otherwise, the iPad stays the same: size, price, capacity, and features all carry over.

Dual core processor; 10-hour-plus battery life; Bright 9.7-inch IPS LCD screen; A third thinner than the original; Front and rear cameras

Highly reflective screen; Slippery; No expandable memory; Poor visibility outdoors; Poor still image quality

Apple iPad 2 First Look

The only way to get your hands on the hottest new tablet in town on day one was to line up at an Apple outlet and try to get one before they inevitably sold out their first shipment.

Apple Ipad 2

APPLE'S SECOND GENERATION TABLET has arrived in the UK in the form of the Ipad 2 , and we've got our hands on one at The INQUIRER to see how it shapes up compared to the first model and other tablets available.

Thin and light; reliable operating system; same battery life as previous Ipad but better performance

Still no support for Flash; no USB or HDMI; Poor cameras

Apple iPad 2

Apple's iPad 2 tablet is finally here. A successor to the original iPad , which created a completely new category of devices and sold almost 15 million units worldwide, the iPad 2 is faster, thinner and lighter than its predecessor and now has dual cameras.

Excellent design; Slick user experience; Improved performance

Poor quality cameras; No memory card slot; No Flash support
