Five Stars

It is as fun as described. The kids can interact through the Kinect sensor

Zoo Tycoon review – animal?attraction

A fun demonstration of the Xbox One's capabilities but unfortunately much more a stealth sequel to Kinectimals than it is a proper Tycoon game.

Cleverly thought-out interface manages to work very well on a joypad; Animal mini-games are charming and the online options very robust

There's no depth to anything and the game pulls its punches in terms offering any real challenge or even true customisation; Graphics have some rough edges

What is it supposed to do?

I just don't get this game. Neither does my 7-year-old son. It's not the least intuitive and seems pointless--other than riding around in a golfcart.

"Not as good as the classics"

You are unable to make personalise enclosures, there aren't too many animal groups; however, there are subspecies. This game is too focused on the idea of being the zookeeper, you can no longer make the zoo of your dreams :(

"Long Awaited Remake of the Classic PC Game was Quite a Let Down"

Introduction I rarely get time to play computer games any more, but when my maternity leave loomed and I had a bit more free time on my hands in the early months, I pestered for this game from my partner.

easy controls; bright colours

not true to original; not enough design freedom

Depending on what you're after in this game, will determine how much you enjoy it. Also, you should simply search "Zoo Tycoon Limit". There is a 100 agent limit, as such that big open space you see, you'll never come slightly close to filling it, before you reach this limit.

Zoo Tycoon Review

aims to be educational and entertaining for kids of all ages, and in some instances it succeeds. While the animals are gorgeously detailed in their own right, learning about them and creating an enriching environment for the cuddly critters isn't always presented in an enjoyable way.

Great animal detail; Fun animal facts

Useless Kinect controls; Unintuitive menus; Boring research

Zoo Tycoon Review: We bought a Zoo

I've always had an interest in the Tycoon games. There's something about managing a theme park or perhaps a casino -- or in this case a zoo -- that always felt so enticing to me. Whether it was laying out the land, choosing which animals to showcase near the entrance, or what entertainment will keep...

Fun to build and learn

Overall this was a game I did enjoy as an adult. Whether it's campaign mode or freeplay. Satisfy your guests to unlock more habitats and animals. One of the only downfalls it's the limitations. Not really because of space but because of the space builder bar.

Zoo Tycoon Review (XBO)

In Zoo Tycoon you can hose down a baby elephant and pull faces at a chimpanzee . If you're not all rushing to your favourite game retailer to buy it right now, you're a stone-hearted, emotionless monster and Zoo Tycoon is definitely not the game for you.

Brilliantly modelled animals; A great; subtle learning tool; Aesthetically pleasing and fun to explore

Kinect is a hindrance as much as a help; Menus often work against you; Game modes are generally too similar
