I recently purchase a bottle of Yves Saint Laurent Opium . I have not worn it in years . I have worn it out a few times , to friends parties , for a romantic dinner and to see a band at the pub . I have had so many positive comments from my friends and from people I don't know . Wow !

Doesn't Hold

I have worn the original Opium for more than 30 years, and absolutely HATE the addition of cat spray to this wonderful scent. I, too, was assured by the salesperson that it was just the packaging that was changed, but no! I took it back - I won't have it in my house.

I've been wearing this perfume for many years. Am always getting compliments - from women as well as men - as to how nice I smell. Even girls at the checkout will ask what it is. It may be more expensive than others but it lasts a long time in the bottle as well as on the skin.

Funny how something can smell soooo wonderful on someone else and not on you...that would be Opium for me.I have stopped 3 women who are wearing this because it smells so good..finally sprayed some last time at Saks...within one hour a migraine. Too bad too because it is lovely..

I've used this product for over 20yrs and still enjoy the fragrance this product produces for hours on hours. Peers will compliment the wonderful aroma emitting in areas I've passed and it is not overbearing as some products produce.
