Definitely for fans of N64-era Rare.

Amazing, super nostalgic, definitely feels like a N64 era Rare game. Was so hooked, I 100%'d the game in a couple days

Yooka-Laylee is built out of the heart, soul, guts, and bones of Banjo-Kazooie. It's exactly what fans of Rare's classic 3D wanted. Unfortunately, technical issues stick to it like bat guano. 3 /5

not a patch on banjo kazooie, not easily played for long periods

When I read the first ever article this game was being made,I pledged a few quid to its fundraiser,I raved about its style and how we need more like it as since n64 days games are often too similar and repetitive these days.i was so excited to finally play it ,but within minutes was stuck and bored...

Yooka-Laylee (Xbox one)

The classic 2D Donkey Kong Country and 3D Banjo-Kazooie games bring back many fond memories for gamers who enjoy platformers from the '90s era. What made these games special is their challenge and the thrill of collecting all of the items despite their treacherous locations.

Nice throwback to '90s classic platformers that require collecting lots of items

Despite the cute graphics this game can be deceptively hard and may turn away some gamers; confusing level design; annoying voice acting; mini-games are boring when playing solo

Yooka-Laylee Review

It's a worthy addition to the platforming genre and goes to show that the genre itself isn't dead it just needs a revisit occasionally with improved technology.

Xbox One Review - 'Yooka-Laylee'

Buy Yooka-Laylee Yooka-Laylee is one of the many Kickstarter-funded games that were spiritual successors to beloved properties or genres. In this case, it was the return to classic Nintendo 64 platforming by way of Rare Games, with some of the developers of the original duo of Banjo-Kazooie games...

Yooka-Laylee Xbox One Review

Yooka-Laylee can only be called a spiritual successor to the likes of Banjo-Kazooie, considering Yooka-Laylee has key staff who worked on Banjo-Kazooie. A bright and colourful game, Yooka-Layee is intended to recapture the old-school style of 3D platforming, and whilst for the most part this is...

Yooka-Laylee Review

Rare was once my favorite developer. I was a Nintendo 64 kid, and their work was arguably as instrumental to the console's success as Nintendo's own releases were. While Rare put out a lot of classics during that period, the one we'll be discussing here is Banjo-Kazooie , a 3D platformer starring...
