Amazing, super nostalgic, definitely feels like a N64 era Rare game. Was so hooked, I 100%'d the game in a couple days

Yooka-Laylee is built out of the heart, soul, guts, and bones of Banjo-Kazooie. It's exactly what fans of Rare's classic 3D wanted. Unfortunately, technical issues stick to it like bat guano. 3 /5

The classic 2D Donkey Kong Country and 3D Banjo-Kazooie games bring back many fond memories for gamers who enjoy platformers from the '90s era. What made these games special is their challenge and the thrill of collecting all of the items despite their treacherous locations.

It's a worthy addition to the platforming genre and goes to show that the genre itself isn't dead it just needs a revisit occasionally with improved technology.
