The phones, great smooth OS and good size, fits in the hand nicely. The photos, are incredible!

Great cheap phone, screen looks great, looks good with YouTube and Netflix, battery lasts ages I can get two full days off one charge moderate - heavy use, cameras are alright takes best photos in 48 megapixel mode. Quite snappy can't tell its using a cheaper cpu & gpu. Two sim slots and SD card slot are awesome to have at this price. And stereo speakers are reasonably good. Only down side is lac of cases and screen protector options in NZ, it comes with a free case and plastic screen protector which is great to start with but the only options after that is the one case and screen protector the PBTech offer. ...view more

Upgraded from a Redmi Note 7. That phone was amazing for the price. As too is this one. I think I will be sticking with Xiaomi from now on.

I upgraded from a Meizu Note, so the difference was extreme. This phone gets great 4G Vodafone reception (rural) where other phones had to be held in one place. It's not 5G compatible, but that's no issue for me. Camera is great, has multiple lenses, macro mode, and the Xiaomi Gallery has some nice editing functions (Sky Replacement is awesome!) for both Photos and Videos. It runs smoothly, and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade from a simpler model.
