I've been looking at robot vacuums for a while but never bought one because of the price This one came on special and was a good mid-range price so after researching it I decided to get it. The reason was I have an incredibly messy flatmate that doesn't clean up after themselves and although there is only 1 cat in the house the flatmate feeds the neighbors cats and strays. Xiaomi Mi Smart Robot Mop 2 Pro works better than I though it would. This unit is one of the newer Lidar technologies so maps very quickly and uses that to do its work. The vacuum is efficient and picks up a lot of stuff. The mop function works well to keep things looking fresh. For best results tidy your house as much as possible before first use, and once it has created its map, you should tweak this in the map editor so each room or area is defined and named. The Xiaomi Mi Smart Robot Mop 2 Pro Vacuum Cleaner Black works well and my apartment has never has such clean floors and carpets. I have the unit run the vacuum run twice a week. Overall it does a far better job than I ever did at manually vacuuming the place. Its navigation is very good and provided I spend a minute putting kitchen chairs on the table and a few other misc. pieces off the floor no problems. The bot was easy to set up and has great suction. The dock needed to be on a hard surface, the pile on our carpet was too thick for the bot to line up. It does struggle with larger objects like leaves and feathers. I haven't tried the mopping facility yet.

After months of tossing up the idea of a robot vacuum to combat the fur factory that is our German Shepherd, we decided to pull the trigger on one. I chose this model for its larger dust bin and battery capacity compared to other, more expensive options. It also had reasonable suction power for the price point. Turns out in practice it was as good, if not better than our expectations.
