The step counter isn't perfect, you will reach 10,000 steps before the counter says you did. However for the price it works wonderfully, and I charge it once a month! Works wonderfully with the app on IOS and Android!

The Xiaomi Mi Band had a few things which really set it apart, if nothing other than the bang-for-buck you get from the $15 pricetag of the previous models . The Mi Band has since rapidly evolved with the addition of a heart monitor and now with the addition of a display and soft button.
Decent pedometer and heartrate monitoring performance, good sleep tracking except it doesn't track daytime naps, brilliant battery life (roughly once in a month) - these sums up Mi Band 2. A recommended purchase for anyone looking for a tracker under 2k.
It's good value for money, sometimes the heart rate monitor feature can be a bit buggy if you don't have it on exactly right. Revising review as of 14/01/2019 as the app now completely fails to accurately track gps and customer service is no helping at all. Essentially making the band useless.
The Xiaomi Mi Band has been an international fitness trackers hit, and for good reason – the range has been so cheap you might as well give them a go, and people have in their millions.
Light; comfortable; Screen + good battery life; Sleep tracking works
Prices vary; hard to get hold of; Still not a reliable tracker; App doesn't motivate
over couple of nights Mi band 2 did not record any disturbed sleep even if i was awakened few times during a night
none

The Mi Band 2 is excellent at tracking steps and sleep, at a very affordable price.
Bright screen; Lightweight and comfortable; Heart rate monitor; Android and iOS support; Long battery life
No feedback or encouragement; Import only; Proprietary charger
With the Xiaomi's Mi Band 2, the Chinese company updates its original $13 fitness tracker with a slightly more expensive version, adding new features such as an 0.42-inch OLED display and a heart rate sensor. The 149 yuan price, which converts to around $22, £17 or AU$29, is a fraction of what you'd pay for similar products such as the Fitbit Alta...or, even, Fitbit's less-expensive Zip. It's not yet on sale on Xiaomi's US website.
If you just want a basic fitness tracker for walking, the Mi Band 2 does the job fine, but you'll have to look towards more expensive trackers if you want more features.
The Mi Band 2 is absurdly affordable despite packing in a heart rate sensor; sleep tracking; water resistance and a battery life of a week.
The fitness band doesn't offer the exercise tracking that would make it a perfect accessory.
The Mi Band 2 is the latest wearable fitness tracker from Chinese hardware giant Xiaomi. It follows the cheap but feature-rich Mi Band and Mi Band 1S and introduces a screen for the first time in the range, as well as improved pedometer tech, which Xiaomi claims is kinder to the battery.
Attractive waterproof design; Great OLED display; Battery life
Charging cable easily lost; Weak third-party app support; Lacks guidance and advice
The Xiaomi Mi Band 2 is the best cheap fitness tracker we've seen. Read our Mi Band 2 review to find out what's new in this excellent-value budget activity tracker.
