XCOM is a great series with a lot of cool titles. I've been following it for a while and this Enemy Unknown is an excellent game.. the best Xcom ever if you ask me. It is based on strategy/tactical gameplay and this is NOT FPS ACTION.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown is a strategy game on a scale unlike just about anything else out there. First, on the large scale, you are responsible for managing the resources for the defense of the entire planet Earth from an alien invasion.

Give this game time, Ive only played it a couple of days and seem to be getting roped in further and further, highly recomended

We sadly didn't get to play the game ourselves, but 2K Marin led us through a frenetic E3 demo of their upcoming reimagining of the classic PC series XCOM. It was quite an experience, so check out our thoughts below.

An enjoyable game, but it could've been better. I am a huge fan of the original, so the trimming of much of the intricate base building, micro-managed inventory, expansive research, and varied troop base skills killed much of XCOM: Enemy Unknown's charm.

Easily one of the best games I have bought. The perfect balance of tactical play and intriguing storyline keeps you wanting to play more! Downloadable content online is also available for about $7, and adds another few hours of fun. Highly recommended if you like a mix of RPG and Action!

If nothing else, the developers at Firaxis had their work cut out for them. The original X-COM: UFO Defense was an undisputed classic held in high regard by anyone old enough to have played it in the early 90s, and it's never easy to update something so treasured for a current audience.
