Best in Years

XCOM: Enemy Unknown is a remake of a classic strategy game that is variably titled X-Com: UFO Defense and UFO: Enemy Unknown.

Challenging; addicting; well designed overall

Room for improvement in troop customization

Xcom Xbox360

Its an excellent game. I was surprised how much I am enjoying it. The graphics are a bit behind for a recent game, dull in many ways, but it works well and operates easily. Its a bit short too on evolving story. Its a good exciting game.

XCOM Enemy Unknown

Love this game. I play it every couple of months and always have fun going through the campaign every time. Challenging but rewarding when you successfully complete a mission.

The most terrifying experience of 2012

ignore the MW3 newbs and no lifes, Xcom Enemy unknown is one of the most terrifying experience`s of 2012. Firaxis has resurected one of the defining strategy games. it was the game that made RTS games.

I think its a great game, fun single player with high replay value, you can customize your units which makes them sentimental and makes you get attached to them. You get mad and frustrated when they die but its great that you get that feeling that they are your units.

This is the first X-COM game I've played, and it's outstanding. Very deep, yet not too intimidating for new players. The ability to personalize and name your squad members really motivates you keep your team alive and earning promotions.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown review: A surprisingly personal turn-based masterpiece

A polished turn-based shooter that harks back to the golden era of strategy games. Rich, customisable, and fiendishly addictive.

Tactically rewarding; Satisfying; tactile combat; Hugely customisable

Lacks visual punch; Micromanagement can be stressful

XCOM: Enemy Unknown - Review

Built by the team behind the revered Civilization series, XCOM Enemy Unknown is a modern day re-imagining of 1994's strategy game of the same name, which is widely considered to be one of the genre's finest.

Satisfying strategy elements; Rewarding combat; Fun customisation options

Lacks a bit of visual punch; Occasional line of sight issues; Pure action fans will find micromanagement stressful

X-COM: Enemy Unknown Review - Xbox 360

I never played the original XCOM back when it was released in 1994 during what was something of a halcyon period for PC gaming. Therefore, the Xbox 360 version of XCOM: Enemy Unknown was my first foray into this popular franchise.

XCOM: Enenmy Unknown

But I'm getting a little ahead of myself, at it's core XCOM is tough, and it does not apologise for that one bit. The game begins with your small force of rookie soldiers first encountering, and then being decimated by, a small group of Sectoid aliens wielding plasma pistols.
