Crazy Cool Crashing With Wreckfest

We've seen off-road games take on many styles and forms over the years, but Wreckfest seems to have a little more foot on the gas than just your average racer. And it should, rightfully speaking, as it's been in the development phase for approximately four years now.

Wreckfest Review – Xbox One

series attempts to deliver a racing experience for all fans, and does such a good job of nailing each discipline. This leads to many other games playing catch-up, and trying to deliver the best experience that they can, knowing that there's another title out there that has already pretty much nailed...

Positives + Well-balanced racing experience + Good variety of events + Lengthy career mode

Negatives; Visual issues; Long loading times before races

Wreckfest (Xbox One) Review

Greg, his mouth agape in astonishment, looks on while his competitors are tuning their vehicles. Standing alongside him is his manager, who then says " You wanted to join the Wreckfest. Well, this is it ." The driver's look of confusion turns to one of disbelief. " You're having a laugh, aren't you

Game Review: Wreckfest

Not so long ago, Thq Nordic published a trailer detailing one of the opponents in the just released Wreckfest . And understandably, we were all expecting more of such video features to be released as the title's launch was growing closer.

Wreckfest review – the good kind of car wreck

The makers of FlatOut return with a spiritual sequel that allows for the most realistic – and entertaining – car crashes gaming has ever seen.

Fantastic damage modelling and destruction effects that greatly influence the tactics of a race; Great sense of fun, including some bizarre vehicles and the amazing demolition derby

Some rough presentation; with an unreliable frame rate and some very long load times

Wreckfest Review – Why Race When You Can Destroy

Most of the cars in Wreckfest look like they were hauled out of a junkyard and spray-painted to hide the rust. The detailing isn't important here; all that really matters is that the car drives fast and can take (as well as deliver) a beating.

Great game and great use of DualSense controller

Have it also on GamePass but this version is the PS5 native version with higher textures, massive playground, 24 players online crossplay lobbies and few other things. GamePass version is X1Xonly and you need to pay $13 for the other bits. DualSense is also brilliant - when your car gets damaged, it's harder to squeeze R2 for acceleration or L2 for breaking which adds to immersion. You have daily/weekly missions for ingame currency that you can exchange for cars. It's a grind but the game is enjoyable and competitive with new content all the time. Can't recommend enough.
