Wolfenstein: The New Order Review – PlayStation 4 (Also on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Xbox One)

A great, entertaining single-player first-person shooter that tells an entertaining and satisfying story and delivers a lot of action.

Wolfenstein: The New Order

Wolfenstein: The New Order is the latest in a long line of historically relevant shooters. It doesn't disappoint. Everything you would want from a Wolfenstein game is here, plus more. It's a good looking, incredibly fun old-school shooter.

If you are down for mayhem, down for a great story and feel up to a difficult challenge The New Order has you covered on all bases. What it lacks in online play it makes up for in collectables and story length. You can replay the whole game, choosing an entire other alternate time line.

Wolfenstein: The New Order Review

B.J.'s weapon selection is nothing short of what you'd expect to find in this reimagined game. He's got knives, pistols, and assault rifles up the wazoo! You'll have access to his full arsenal before you know it, like upgrades that include scopes and rocket attachments.

Visually stunning; Compelling story you'll want to finish; Killing Nazis never gets old

Odd gameplay to cut-scene transitions; Tags

Wolfenstein: The New Order

Well, it's been some 5 years since we've seen a new Wolfenstein game and I must say, it's been worth the wait. Wolfenstein: The New Order looks absolutely spectacular on the PS4, whether you are swimming in the underwater sewers of Germany, making your way through a Nazi-infested bullet hell...

Wolfenstein: The New Order Review

No matter what happens with the first-person-shooter genre, the patriarchs of the popular gaming category -- Wolfenstein (grandfather) and Doom (father) -- refuse to retire. But while titles such as Duke Nukem Forever attempted a fusion between old-school shooters and contemporary mechanics, the...

Game Review: Wolfenstein – The New Order

Three years have passed since the events of Wolfenstein (2009) and the Nazi regime gets stronger by the day. Our protagonist William Blazkowicz (for the benefit of the review I will now call him Blitz), along with his two comrades Fergus Reid and Private Probst Wyatt they infiltrate a focal Nazi...

Superb cinematic cutscenes; Sublime soundtrack; Excellent narrative; A fun; no brainer popcorn of a shooter; No taped-on multiplayer clearly benefited the singleplayer

Dumb A.I; Some odd texture pop-ups

Wolfenstein: The New Order Review

Firing up Wolfenstein: The New Order for the first time, I wasn't expecting it to be any good. To be honest, what single campaign first-person shooters are these days Far Cry 3 was probably the last one for me.

Old gameplay in a fancy suit; what's not to like; Great vocal active throughout; Over the time weapons make a comeback

Old chunky car models; plucked from the 90s; AI could be improved at times; Some areas in the game felt a little slow or repetitive

Wolfenstein is a name every FPS fan should be familiar with, since it was Wolfenstein 3D that basically launched the genre. It has been called the grandfather of shooters and for good reason.

Duel-wielding everything | Great cover system

No multiplayer

I would like to thank you for the timely shipment of this game. My son had his birthday and I ordered this as an extra present. He was very excited to get a bonus game. This shipment actually arrived before the system did.
