We love the Wharfedale Diamond 220s, and we're not shy about saying so. As if giving them an Award wasn't enough, we have previously used language such as ‘best-sounding budget speakers on the market'. So imagine our excitement when we learned we would get to try them in a surround package.
Precise; articulated sound; Well integrated; Taut and controlled punch
Not quite the last word in outright excitement
The Diamond 220 HCP is a 5.1 standmount speaker package and the successor to the brilliant Diamond 100 HCP system launched in 2013. It's based around speakers from Wharfedale's new Diamond 200 series, including the Diamond 220 standmounts at the front and rear, the 220C centre and the SPC-10 powered...
Remarkable detail and texture; Huge room-filling sound with seamlessly integrated bass; Stylish lacquered finish and improved build
Conventional boxy shape
Having never had a clue when it came to quality speakers I was advised to get these Wharfdales Speakers as part of a stereo setup paired with an amp. And boy am I glad I followed the advise! I previously bought a soundbar by another manufacturer and I will be honest it sounded awful!

Amazing speakers. Arrived very fast. Very satisfied. Thanks again

Superb sound for price; Bottom port cuts unwanted noise; Dressy cosmetics
Odd binding-post layout

I am in the process of making a small home theater out of an extra bedroom. I have a good stereo in the living room and just wanted something affordable and attractive that sounds good.
They look and sound good; especially for the price
You will probably want a subwoofer with these
