Great value for money for 3TB drive
I needed a few high capacity drives for my home file server. Although they are a bit slow in transfer speeds compared to high-spec desktop drives but WD RED series drives claimed to be build with 24/7 operation in mind and TLER feature enabled which is great for home/SOHO file servers.

Inspire confidence
Bought a pair of these to use as a 3TB RAID 1 array for my NAS enclosure. They are fast, quiet, they run cool, and they are good value for money at £89 a piece. Also had nothing but good service from WD drives over the years, so am confident these will be the same.

Good value
Used one before on my home NAS, which runs 24x7. Good balance between capacity, value, investment, future-proofing. Bought a couple of these for a new NAS system built around the WD 'My Cloud EX4100' for my cousin. Easy set up, low noise, reliable product.

Solid HDDs
I am a novice in IT. I have had four 2-TB Red HDDs in my Synology 411j for the past three or four years. Knock on wood, I have never had a problem. Two months ago, I bought a new Synology 216+ii and put two 3-TB Red HDDs. So far they are working perfectly and I am quite happy.
